I'm calling bullshit...the suggestion that media outlets owned and controlled by ultra-conservative corporations like Disney or GE are liberal leaning belies logic.

Micaho - do you have a lits of less bias sources, i'd love to have "just the news" without opinions..

Can we get a list of conservative media outlets that don't rely on funding please? Also, if you could list their corporate sponsors/overlords that would be much appreciated...thanks.

GE's Jeffrey Immelt works for the Obama administration. Michael Eisner took Disney and ABC in a different direction.
CNN claims to be unbiased and has gone more centric recently. Politico and Huffington Post are also representative of news sources more often carrying stories from different viewpoints. Personally I don't pay for cable channels, but I do get C-Span for free and they try to alternate guests from the left and the right. Unfortunately they can't control their call-ins(or can they?) I also watch PBS news and the World Channel for news broadcasts from other countries which is an interesting perspective. I've never seen the Fox News channel, but I sometimes watch their Sunday morning show which has guests and panelists from both political parties. You never know who is going to surprise you. Apparently both Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper tore into Debbie Wasserman Schultze for making a fool of herself on Fox. Again, too obvious to ignore.
Radio programming is relatively inexpensive compared to TV. I believe websites are also an inexpensive way to get your views out there. I suppose the advertisers on a website would be considered sponsors. If you have employees like Media Matters or Politico, your overhead is probably equivalent to a magazine. But bloggers and forums and Twitter accounts and Facebook carry political opinions for free. Those are the conservative outlets to which I referred.

Do you realize that bloggers, and even people that post on message boards such as this one, are sometimes paid to spread a certain idealogy?

you are distroying my "pollyanna views" of others posting here........could kieth, blitzen and others be paid?

by Blitzen on 29 August 2012 - 20:08
If we were paid, we'd be Republicans.

by Micaho on 29 August 2012 - 20:08
Another thing a computer program measuring bias wouldn't figure in. Of course I realize people are paid to make comments. I said I watch C-Span!
by SitasMom on 29 August 2012 - 21:08
blitzen - i'm looking for sources of information that are neither conservative nor liberal......
i agree, both sides are paid off.....i'd just like the news without commentary....
