Well ham n beans is a cold weather thing for me and corn bread goes with it like peas and carrots..lol

I don't eat a lot of fish and never a Barramundi so I wouldn't have any idea what they taste like.
I am fond of Bluegil fillets and fiddlers (young catfish).

Either way we'd both probably like the others favorites.

Not so much south west, more midwest farm belt, ohio river valley.

Some people here will eat anything though, big seller at the fall festival was Gator Tatters, go figure.

You can get anything you want at Alices Restaurant...lol

Kraut and sausage works for me, dark beer.

A lot of German families settled here in this area, the nearest city is Swiss....Tell City, famous for chairs and pretzels.
And fat beer drinkers......lol

Barra,
nice fighting fish ya say?
I dunno, we got a lot of variety to choose from without considering salt water.
Some nice fresh water game fish.
I'm not really a big fisherman though.

barra need both salt and fresh water to complete their life-cycle. awesome fighters and premium table fish. barra fever is a thing like people go nuts and become born-again speaking in tongues do.

barra fishing aint fishing, it is a religious experience.
