I have many posts over a few year period, very few of which have to do with HEX, can I have an opinion??????

It seems lots of people are doing a fair bit of stretching these days.  It appears some of what we were initially told just might not be true and it has nothing to do with what Thomas is saying.  He's saying publically what a lot of people have been saying privately for some time and yes Molly even quite a good number of those on your 1400 member list.   now and i've chosen to pretty much stay out till the final reports come in.

But as I've gone thru life i've learned that the most likely scenerio is usually the correct one.  As ugly as some of the people in the dog world are, I just can't see many going to steal a dog, keep it for 2 weeks, murder it, then dump it back at the training field.   Maybe it happened, but it's much more likely the dog just got hit by a truck.

I think the only thing going on here is two groups of people assuming the worst about each other because of other situations, when in the end, it's most likely about a dog that got hit by a truck.  Maybe not, but you certainly can't get so bent out of shape about someone saying that, because it is an entirely plausible and reasonable, and a very real possibility.

I'm not going to speak for anyone else Zdog, just myself.  You are correct that statistically the  likely scenario is that Hex was hit by a vehicle.  It happens time after time day after day in this country.

But the family has some questions and for whatever reason they believe differently.  And there does seem to be some discrepancies.

So what is the harm in letting the investigation go forward.  If people donate either out of friendship to the family or because Hex has touched their heart, where is the harm?

I, personally have no problem with whatever theory anyone believes.  It does really make me wonder that there seems to be a core group of people that are trying diligently to discredit the investigation and the motives behind it.

Betty

I started postiing when I saw the police report and realized that most of what we were being told was
highly unlikely. I think there are very few that are publicly challenging anything, not exactly
" a core group of people that are trying diligently to discredit the investigation and the motives behind it."

What I see are a core group of people who only joined PDB to promote the Stolen and then Murdered
dog scenario. Close friends of the Govedniks or possibly one of the Govedniks themselves (JEB and GSDMom56 are two that come to mind off the top of my head). Lots of supposed "first hand" reports but NONE from anyone that will identify themselves and swear they looked EXACTLY where the dog was found and he wasnt' there at the time

from the very first post in the topic  by MEWOODSjr

"Al Govednik's dog Hex was stolen from his yard this morning. He was seen put into a white / light colored  van around 5:15am this morning."

seen by who?

http://centralillinoisproud.com/fulltext?nxd_id=203097

From the above news story
"I noticed there was a white van by my driveway but it was kind of rainy and foggy," said Govednik. I could see the van speeding away...no Hex."

Now a call to wait for the final report while they still want to post more nonsense including challenging the motivation of anyone who questions their motives?

Thomas, for someone who wants facts you sure are good with the assumptions. You have no clue about Jeb or any other member but you spread BS like you have facts.

You posted: What I see are a core group of people who only joined PDB to promote the Stolen and then Murdered
dog scenario. Close friends of the Govedniks or possibly one of the Govedniks themselves (JEB and GSDMom56 are two that come to mind off the top of my head).

This is an assumption on your part with no FACTS to back you up. Seems against all of what you have written here.

I don't see any harm in having an investigation.  I feel for the family, i've met Al a few times.  He judged a trial I was at just this summer.  I met Hex.  I liked him had a great weekend, i've met him several times in fact.  I feel horrible for him.  I don't know any of the extra stuff that seems to be going on.  i've heard stories, but unless I'm directly involved I usually don't put too much stock into what other say about someone else.  Over the years i've found lots of people with an ax to grind and what I heard compared to what I was faced with when meeting the actual people and situations were far different.

I know when Al came out and said his dog was stolen, I believed him.  When he said they were post mortem injuries, I believed him.  I don't think Al is a bad person by any means, and some of the stuff I heard about the situation that other people were saying (I'm not even going to bring them up, because I don't put much stock into them).  I think he believed that is what happened.  I probably would have too.

I'm waiting to see how this all turns out too.

This thread has lost its focus and attracted trollish behavior, for want of a better term. Isn't it time to lock this thread, as it can only devolve further?

Only close family members of the Govedniks have insider information..  close friends are not even privy to investigative materials.  WE are all patiently waiting and don't see why the rest of you can't use a little patience.  You want to know and it just isn't possible at this time.

JEB is not a Govednik
I am not a Govednik
You are not a Govednik....  we wait.

Yours In Sport,
Marsha
PS
I also drive a white van and have been a member of MSSV for over 10 yrs).

A white van is what was seen - why is everyone making such a fuss over it?

Mystere,
You are exactly correct, this thread should have been closed a long long time ago.
