Duke - frankly, less said about that inconsistent maverick Wilhelmus Fortuijn
and the LPF (who couldn't govern themselves as a Party, let alone Holland)
the better, surely ? Apart from the odd neanderthal quote on womens' nature
(not unlike many British gay men of a certain generation) Pim had some of
the right ideas but one could argue that his assimilationist, populist comments
on Islam were a contribution to Moslems feeling as angry with the West as
some do, thus fanning the flames of what we have been experiencing since
'9/11' ?

hundmutter, jou cant say Pim was responsible for the mess the LPF made after he was murdered, they cut of the head of the snake for the snake to die
but it is like it always is, to win elections or make the sale, fairytales work better than reality

based on "the cult of the individual", rather than founded on sound and
consistent policy beliefs ?

what do you think will happen when hispanics and afro americans will have electoral majority in USA, or if muslims will have electoral majority in european countries, you will have the same freedom as christians in Syria now, looking forward to that ??
and it is really stupid to say Pim contributed to the anger of muslims that lead to the 9-11 attacks , who pissed of the IS people so bad to make them do what they do, do you really think sweet talking them will make them stop ?

of Al Quieda and IS; I just do not think the pronouncements of those
like Pim have helped along the way. No, I do not think "sweet talking"
will make terrorists stop; terrorism is madness wherever it occurs; but
I do believe just TALKING to other Muslem factions & communities
with respect for their viewpoint would help the West in general to deal
with the dissatisfaction it has created by its manipulating and manouvreing
of other countries' governments, and could help achieve alliances and
peaceful solutions - but Western governments are unwilling to do that.
