How about something more entertaining like VK4 is vile, vicious, no respect for their fellow man, moral less, backbiting, tactless human being. And his or yours atheism is a religion has NO foundation for 'right' 'wrong' 'good' 'bad' or values/morals so its not surprising. Will this make you feel better?? Wink Smile

Shtal.

What Carlin posted is an extension of Hindusm.  Kundilini?  Serpent?  -> where have we heard that before?

Not at all Biblical, very new age, and  becoming very popular in the new Immergent churches, also very dangerous.  Run.

If I had a fiver for every time Shtal has told someone they won't find

an answer 'cos they are not looking for it  (like a thief 'cannot' find

a policeman)  I could be quite wealthy by now.  That might make

me feel better ;   I don't think anything you say will, Shtal.

Carlin,

There is so much in that.... weaving together .... of possibilities! LOL

Not that I would take everything in that incredibly thorough accounting of all those "mysteries" at face value. However, I must say there were some "thoughts" and lets see, shall we say "fundamental" principles of the nature of our differences, I really could have written myself!

Clever

RedS: I first heard of Kundalini in my yoga class.

LOL @Hundmutter

You just remind me a story from Bible!!!

KJV Luke Chapter 12
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

Can't speak for all atheists but i think the answer to your question is no.

a bit of research you prolly could have answered that all by yourself.

in fact atheists are minus the knowledge they were born as sinners...makes for a less miserable life.

yr sin, yr hell you deal with it.

Good point vk about having a less miserable existence to start with,

that we atheists are not constantly worried about being born into sin

we have no responsibility for.   Never thought of it in those terms.

To think, if ML hadn't asked the question ...  Thanks ML What Smile

Now all i have to worry about are the 'sins' I consciously commit.

Good job I try to live my life without breaking Laws, damaging other people,

etc - in short, the sort of stuff Shtal regards as 'righteous' behaviour,

for which of course [he reckons] I can have no 'moral' compass.

Very interesting ...
