1 female W German show/working lines, 5 1/2 months. Inside with us when we're home and can supervise her and outside in the kennel when we leave for the day, barring inclimate weather of course, then, she's inside in her crate. Two beagles (kids dogs) outside always (they hate being in the house). Beagles share one 10x10 kennel and GSD has her own. Two kids aged 2 1/2 and 12. We have the wireless fence system currently for the beagles and are getting ready to train our GSD on this. Currently, she has been very obedient about staying within her boundaries but, with age comes curiousity and bravo and she's starting to explore a bit. Don't want to install fence as we're getting ready to move in the next year and don't want the added cost to just leave it behind but, if she tests the boundaries of the fence too much, it will be a must. We will be adding our new addition, another female GSD W German Show lines at the end of February. No furniture for our girl as my hubby is anti dog in the house and I fight already for what liberties she does have there. In my eyes though, the kids do more damage! ;)

Say mike, did you ever file a response to those complaints filed about you and your kennel on ripoffreport.com ? Of course your dogs are more expensive than most if one has to pay for the same dog twice! Also, I was told you were banned from DDR Lwegends forum. They have quite a write up about you there. People keep e-mailing me alleging that funk is mike madore aka mike madrone of a small town in Maine. Is this true or vice-versa? In any even, How about making a lane change funk, just come out and tell us who you are, about your kennel, your GSDs and allow us to critique them like you do to others. This would clear everything up and could make this site much more positive.

We have six that are working lines. Five kennels, one big back yard. Time in each place varies on weather and which female is in season. Five sleep in crates in the house, the other one either in his kennel (dog house) or his crate in the dog trailer. One sleeps in the bedroom on the floor at times. The ones in the house have their own couch and know the word "couch". :) Some play together, some do not. When in the house only one is out of the crate at a time as that is considered special time. All are being worked for Schutzhund.

Say funk, you state I could't afford your dogs. Why don't you e-mail me with the specifics and prices they are for sale for. You have drawn the wrong conclusions about my financial abilities and willingness to pay a top price for a very good german import. Perhaps you have mistakien me for someone else. Folks who know me know that on occasion over the years I have paid a great deal of money for a quality import if that dog was really tops. But unlike some I actually pay for the dogs I buy. First I make a down payment and then I pay the balance at the time I take delivery.

My name is Mike? Wrong! Where did this come from!!!!!Preston, it appears you have some rare form of "head in the ass syndrome". You should check your sources you moronic little monkey! the truth is, I have stated my name on this board twice. First & Last. I think you need to buy the book, "Detective work for Dummies" LMFAO

by Preston on 01 February 2007 - 00:02

funk, okay. Then state your first and last name. Also, these folks e-mailed me, I didn't contact them. funk, why do you always choose to react with anger and abuse when folks disagree with you?

by Preston on 01 February 2007 - 00:02

Oh funk, I forgot to respond to your detective allegation. There is no detective work here, only folks coming forward about your abuse and cyberstalking, harassing. They choose to e-mail me I didn't contact them. Your patterns of abuse are catching up with you. You appear to be escalating out of control. You started all this, and some have confronted your abuse only when it became extreme. You dishonor your unit and certainly this is conduct unbecoming. I suggest you visit DDR legends website and review their comments about you. Certainly you should respond to ripoffreport.com's allegations. So far there is no respnse there.

"4-pack ~ Tell me what you have, working or show and how you raise your pups. Do your dogs live in the house or kennel, or both? What have your dogs accoplished raised this way? What are the reasons you do it this way?" Working Line. I purchase my pups @ 8 weeks old, I raise my pups the best I know how. My pups live in the house with rules and order. Raised this way they have self control, manners, a full time job, lots of warm food, and constant supervision among many other things. The reason I do it this way is because, it's fun and productive.

Saw this thread - awesome topic! I have 5 dogs total...all intact females - 3 adults and 2 young puppies from my breedings. All are in the house. I have secure indoor/outdoor kennels for when I go out so that they don't have to wait to go to the bathroom. All females get along (under supervision and with no food or toys involved). Of the 3 adults (all of whom are proudly handler-owner-trained and titled) I have 2 that are SchH 1 (winning HIT (290V), High Obedience(96V), High Protection (98V) and scoring (99V) and (98V) in tracking respectively between the 2 of them) - these two dogs also have their CD's - one winning Highest scoring shepherd in trial - the other in a run-off for a HIT and both have their TD's. The 3rd adult will be titled in SchH and for her CD this year. I got into dogs and training because I love the relationship that I build with training etc. - and feel that part of that is being part of my pack and family. I also have a cat that thinks she is a shepherd - and even accompanies us on 2 hour hikes. My house is hairy and crazy (I also have a 2 year old daughter) and love every minute of it. Lisa

Female W.Ger. show lines, Male E.Ger/Czeck working lines. Raised indoors as pups, spending more time outside with age. Come in when when it is best for all concerned. Outside runs rarely used, inside garage kennel used when necessary such as a transition from outside to inside. This allows them to dry off in heated garage kennel before coming in. They go everywhere I go. Just bought a truck with canopy for them. Much socializing, I have become pretty creative in this area. I avoid Pet Smart disease traps with ill behaved animals. I will take them any where until I am told "no". I do not allow people to pet, feed, or comand them after 3 months old.My reasons are that they are my dogs and I do not want them ( dogs ) to see everyone as someone to coddle them and be their buddy. I play with them throuout the day. I throw wadded up paper or anything else thats harmless at them, kick at them, play rough with them, jump out of bushes, role trash cans at them, anything I can do to help them to understand that they can overcome any thing thrown at them. I lead them into as many odd, strang places so they can learn that their is nothing in the world that can hurt them, infact through positive reinforcement they learn these places are fun. I am home with them everyday so I talk to them constantly. I believe they will eventually pick up much of what I am saying, as I know they want to understand when they turn their heads back and forth saying " what are you saying dad ".Talking to them strengthens the bond. For reasons I do not understand I do not get upset or angry with pups under 1 yr. I know deep down they are in a high level learning stage in life that has no room for anger, but I don't know why I have the patience, cause after a year I have less patience.Every thing I do with them is about confidence building. I allow them to chew on my arms or legs as I want them to break down those taboos that a dog does not put his teeth on flesh. A little pain is worth it to me.They are not allowed to do so with my wife though. At the end of the day I go in the kennel with them in the garage for a last visit before bedtime. I thouroughly enjoy learning each dogs temperament, issues, strengths, and weaknesses, then working with them. I believe it was Alphapup that used to say KNOW your dog. This is what I try to do.
