"LOL", unsure what level of dogs you are used to seeing compete in the sport oldguy. Most dogs that actually compete at the higher levels have the total package.. You are thinking about trial preperation training "i.e. 3 months leading up to the Nationals", not the years of training that goes into these top dogs... "LOL" How many National or World level Schutzhund dogs have you worked?? & Who?? Maybe your thinking about the SchH3 show dogs???!!! I personally have to keep my knuckle head as sporty as possible because he would have no issue switching over and staying there. Just because I compete with my dogs in Schutzhund does not mean they, have not or can not do the real work.. A P.P. Dog has more training "LOL" ROFLMAO.. Your a funny guy oldguy... Anytime you would like to come test are club sport dogs OGNG you are more than welcome to. Foundation is everything and they have lots of foundation with the sleeves still in the club house. That is what we do and it brings a well rounded dog who gets his rocks off by letting loose his testosterone into the fight. Hundguy I think you may have said it better. Thanks. Bob

First, Hundguy. See this response of youres is what leads to such contention on this board. Instead of just debating the issue, you state:///"""A P.P. Dog has more training "LOL" ROFLMAO"""/// You also try to tell me what I'm thinking: ///"""You are thinking about trial preperation training "i.e. 3 months leading up to the Nationals", not the years of training that goes into these top dogs... "LOL" How many National or World level Schutzhund dogs have you worked?? & Who?? Maybe your thinking about the SchH3 show dogs???!!!"""/// Your whole post is full of these types of statements. It is obviously an emotional response to what you are perceiving to be an attack on your schutzhunf dogs. I will not engage you in that kind of debate. You have neither the knowledge required of the overall world of protection dogs, as is evidenced by your comments, nor do you have the slightest inkling of what "I am thinking" nor of what I have seen or haven't seen. My only comment to you,(other than get a grip) would be to ask you, when you say: ///"""Most dogs that actually compete at the higher levels have the total package.."""/// Do you really believe that "most...etc." are trained in food refusal? Or in being able to discriminate between the difference when an adult innocently picks up a child the god was trained to protect and when someone actually attacks a child? Has the dog been trained in what to do when the subject lies down? I would suggest to you to do much more research in what the "total package" means when you're talking about the training of a protection dog.

Second, Bob/realcold: Other than the comments above relating to the level of debate (you and I have been better able to keep this to the level of an academic debate instead of slinging demeaning sentences)I would say "see above".

Your right oldguy, I am new to this whole dog training thing. I wish I had someone like you in my local area to learn from.... What was I thinking. Oh, BTW you didn't answer any of my questions about what you think you know goes into that level of comp training. Your right about one thing, I do not teach my dogs to bait.. Do you? Best Regards, Dennis
