My male chooses wood, sticks to limbs he's always got one handy, take it from him and he'll just find another.
I never trained with balls, mine work for my attention. I do use balls and dummies for retrieves sometimes, but anything I throw will do.
When I'm ready they know it without any indication from me, especially my oldest female, she literally reads my mind.
They play like this one on one, but when the three are together they take turns herding and directing each other, especially the male, he is the referee usually.
I liked the tunnel thing, I use logs instead of barrels, and a 10" wide 6' long bridge.
It's not so much different breeds play different, but rather different packs or groups depending on age and relationships.

i just learned of something called stress agility, sounds like the thing i am looking for in terms of organized sporting competition. don't know the details yet. my gsd has lost a good few mm (thats millimteres for you imperialists) from top and bottom canines already from biting sticks and shit, not sure what my options are there, doubt it will hinder the bite work but doesn't look good. i really want to compare my gsd to some of these idiot expert's dogs with tests that test nerve and aggression without years of precision training to do something that is relatively simple to do - i really believe my gsd is the shit, at least from what i have seen here.

I've never found anything that will not wear on teeth.
I had a real large male once who liked old style solid red bricks, his teeth were like a paper punch and he made perfect round holes in anything he bit including my other males front leg.
I've seen rubber used, also stuffed heavy leather tugs, but anything in time wears.
Sticks are softer than bones and mine love a good bone.
Never heard of stress agility, but then again I don't go looking for the latest newest terms that get tossed about.
Nerve and aggression are easily tested for no matter the training, the dog either has it or it does not.
Even then a dog can lose it real quick under the right circumstances without some very important training.
All animals have limitations and almost all have survival instincts.
None are Kryptonite.

yeah no dog is perfect, far from it, just think mine has big balls. not sure if stress agility has a winner hence might not be a sport, sounds like just something you do. the idea is climbing walls, unbalanced surfaces, basic scary stuff for dogs. mostly done at walking pace with handler encouraging/rewarding and assisting dog if need be.

I see........I assist in training but they must do the course on their own without assistance.
There's something I remember on a video somewhere, I'll look for it.
Been looking can't find it..I'll have to ask around.
After asking around I found it with the help of Xeph, you check it out Vk4,

Another old favorite I found,
if you think hounds are not agile or smart.

A friend of many years who has since passed away had one of the greatest Coon Hounds (black and white, walker sized) I have ever seen.
He could talk to you on a run and I've seen him climb trees, he also would bite....lol
A one man dog, and I don't know what became of him after my friend died.
