Perhaps I will remind you of my old post why you don't see footprint lol
We have the same facts, the same physical evidence as it were; we have same science, why then do we draw such different conclusion about the past and the answer is we have a different starting point and different world view; different way of thinking about things which like it mental glasses, those of you who wear glasses you know that if you have them off the world looks fuzzy, put those glasses on the world snaps into focus and you see things as they are. And I like to think of the Bible like corrective lenses; you think about things from the prospective Biblical history, you see the world as it is. I like to think about evolution like red glasses, you put on red glasses the world looks red, not that the world is red but that’s what you see, you see it as biased because of your glasses you wearing. Now I realize of course evolutionist’s will say oh no we are the once wearing corrective lenses you are the one wearing the red glasses and I have to argue for that, my point here are simply that we are all here wearing mental glasses, we are all have a world view, we all come to evidence with certain preconceptions, with certain believes how is the evidence should be interpreted. Some people might say ooh no not me, I don’t have a world view; I believe I come to the evidence naturally and objectively, guess what? That is the believed about how to interpret evidence. See the philosophy that we should come to evidence without philosophy is its self-philosophy; it’s just very bad one because it’s self-refuting.

Cindi,
you started this shit, get your ass back here and deal with it, trouble maker.

It's all too complex shtal, it must be the work of some supernatural god, how else could it be explained.

It is as it has always been, before you or me, before any gods existed in the minds of men.

All the books, the preaching, all the video's you can produce cannot change what is, what has always been.

I just took a peek at this thread.

"A painting hanging on a tree..."

I still can't stop giggling about this one!  he he he he he

Shtal, I just have one pet peeve about your rants. I know you have got your set arguments all lined up by the sheer fact you can regurgitate at will, and in the same order. I just want to be helpful and not demeaning in any way, but I have to finally tell you this:

When you say, "I respect your believes....." like you always do, you really mean to say, "I respect your beliefs...."

There is a real artist however, that creates these art crystal sculptures and installs them in city areas that most would consider on the depressed side. Very interesting stuff, I think. I wonder what those people think when they see them!  I would probably thank God for this women who had such a great idea and the will to create from it.

While I enjoyed Professor Lennox talk, and he makes some interesting points, I'm not sure he succeeds in rationally "establishing God".  If such a thing were possible, faith would not be so central to the Hebraic and Christian traditions.  For the Christian, "God is spirit", and "God is love".  Those are fairly unambiguous statements about some extremely ambiguous ideas, relying upon a supernatural ontology.  We've been way down the road before when rationalism blossomed out the enlightenment, colliding with an ecclesiastically created landscaped, transitioned by the reformation.  In America, it resulted in deism, which sees as transcendent, though no longer imminent.

Moons, I know I am wasting time with you but I felt like responding once more. If you went back in time 1000 years in the past, and tried to explain to people about 21st century how we have an airplanes, jets, cars, computers and etc... those people won't comprehend and they would think that you are fool; In the same how you can't understand supernatural or technology beyond human mind.

LOL...
depends on how well one explains the future wouldn't you say.

Technology can only come from the human mind, and there is nothing supernatural, that's all mythology also from the minds of humans.

One day we can look back on this time and think how primitive humans were, people understand more than you give them credit for.

We will evolve beyond superstition of that I am sure, we may one day realize the down side to technology also.

If we were to live in harmony with each other and nature we would surely know paradise and true perfection.

It will never happen until we open our eyes and see the truth.

GSDtravels, that video is very long, what specific question's do you have for me in writing that I can try and answer for you.

Shtal

by Shtal on 16 September 2013 - 18:09

GSDtravels, you made this thread for me, now I am asking you what exactly you want me to learn, what things you wanted me to understand, be specific so I could try to answer, maybe something I don't understand. Please tell me in writing from that video. I am honestly asking.

Moons, I'm sorry there are only so many hours in the day.  I shouldn't have posted something I'd have to be responding to... but then, I though maybe he'd actually attempt to understand when it's been broken down into elementary terms.  Alas, he is too far gone.

Shtal, I have no questions for you, I officially give up.  Ignorance must truly be bliss.  Unfortunately, most of us have to live in reality.  Peace Shtal, I mean that.
