Well since I'm not sure what "noobish" is, I suppose your right I don't know everything. When you become my age at 48, you will realize that in order to grow and be a better trainer, breeder or whatever your venue, others can and do help you get there. And no disrespect to you, but seriously 21? Come back when your 35, hell 30, and let me know how noobish I am.

Do your homework...Expose yourself to Good Working Line Dogs (German Shepherds) and ask many questions...Handle a few dogs and that's about all you can do without having Hands-On experience with a Working Line German Shepherd...

They're just a different breed of dog then most Americans know...or are exposed to...

Take your time and visit some local Schutzhund Clubs and you will gain a lot of valuable information...

Gizewski, did not mean to be disrespectful per se, the reasons i said hush have been highlighted in bold font, it should be self-evident, until such time it is self evident i guess i have little to say to you about "why".

best of wishes to you.

@Bhaugh "Noobish" means somewhat brand new... if not new. Lacking a lot of knowledge. I would come back in a year to show you how much I know then but honestly... I am doubting that I will even be using this site as much as use it now... I only get on a couple of times a week honestly. It's kind of hard to show you my knowledge of what I am doing without you being here. Same for you with me.

Gizewski, not trying to brow-beat you but people like Gustav have been breeding working dogs (including police and military dogs) for decades, and have handled hundreds of them in all stripes and shapes.  The wealth of first-hand knowledge that they then willingly share on these forums are much appreciated, since it raises the awareness levels all around.  I would suggest that you stick around and learn from such folks, than try and show how smart you are, at such an early stage. JMHO.

" I would come back in a year to show you how much I know then but honestly..."

showing is always better than telling...a vid now and a vid in a year would do it i guess if that is what you want to do.  proving things to strangers on the internet tho is kinda retarded at best.

aaykay, I can not say that I have decades of experience nor am I an older person. I think that should say enough right there. It may raise awareness but when it comes down to it who is one person to tell another what they do or do not know? Just as it would be like saying you own no dogs when clearly I haven't a clue what you do. Why do people think that I have no experience with anything because of my age? I have been trying to get more of a knowledge base while on these forums. I have realized that there are people that know a bit more than me. But who are some of the people to say that I know nothing? If they didn't act as if I know nothing I wouldn't feel as if I needed to go into detail about things.
vk4gsd, If it seems retarded at best then why act as if you need proof of my ability of being able to work a dog????

A year in the world of dogs/training is really not that long.  But kudos to you for working hard and learning all you can. We all came from the beginning and realize how much more there is yet to learn after many years in.  Good for you also for wanting to share what you know.

Because you come off as someone with a cocky I know it all attitude. I have no issue with age at all if the person is somewhat professional in their delivery. You came on this forum as a newbie and talked down to some long time (not me) members which was rude. You want people to take you serious, then might I suggest humbling yourself a bit.
