Yes, it is one of the few 'fats' recommended for an EPI dog, as they can tolerate it better because it is a medium chain triglyceride, rather than a long chain one. We used to give my friends EPI dog a teaspoon of coconut oil with one or two of her meals each day.

Talked myself into getting some for my two as well. Just as a general tonic as my girl is approaching 10, thought it would be a good boost for her. Mine just slurped it right up too.
We can swap notes on results!

PS: Just had my house cleaned and with 4 long coats, before the cleaners get the front door shut I already have hair flying around; since the coconut oil addition which has been about 2 weeks; they cleaned on Monday, this is Wed. and guess what, WAY, WAY, less hair flying. Man I will appreciate this stuff more every day.
Great days and dogs everyone, Nan Thx for sharing the info.

You may consider giving them raw farm fresh eggs. We gave our dog 1 egg a day from our ducks and her coat turned from feeling like steel wool to a beautiful coat that is pleasant to the touch.
