Mercy! I do believe I'm feeling faint!  Such lushness!!

(Hey, Laura, damn nice looking Red Angus, too!)

Edited to add: Or are they Red Polls? Lincolns? Devons? They look too deep red to be Limis or Gelbviehs....

@Hexe - The cows are purebred Red Polls; the calves are a Red Poll x Red Angus cross. My cheap camera doesn't do their gorgeous red colour justice.

laura, don't blame your cheap camera--it was my laptop screen that reduced the intensity of the cows' red hides.  When I opened the thread up on my desktop and saw the pics on a good monitor, I was able to see there was more depth of red to their coloration than a Red Angus would have...hence my guess that they might be Red Polls or one of the other less common red beef breeds.  Don't see a lot of Red Polls where I'm at in NE Michigan...I know of only one farmer who breeds registered RPs, but they sure are a good looking bovine!
