Does anyone have any information on this dog: Jack Von Der Laue? He looks like the "type" of dog I am seeking but I know no details about his movement, temperament, or progeny. Anyone?? Thanks!

Sara I think there are a lot more dogs out there that meet your criteria than you might think it just takes a matter of looking in person.  I see WAY more dogs I like (both in conformation and temperament) at events in person than if I'm nitpicking stacked photos. I might browse the web for hours and find one dog I'm interested in and then spend a day at an event and write down half a dozen names to look into.  Likewise, I find most of the dogs that draw me in based on their photo do not hold up in person.  The photos can be posed and photoshopped (I'm noticing some of the dogs listed in this thread have toplines cleaned up in their photos and you mentioned topline being important).

Vkg..good point but that's the beauty of A.I.! I am not limited to dogs in my immediate area!! I figure, if I find a proven dog I like than his progeny will speak for him in terms of his quality.....

Sara - I don't know Jack;  but looking at his 6-gen I'd say it looks to me like a really nice pedigree;  just the
sort of ancestral mix that ought to get you what you are looking for (JMO). How does it match with the bitch you want to use ?   If you can't use him (or AI), can you at least manage to find a close relative, for stud ?  If you like him and you can do that, I'd say  "Go Fot It"   - otherwise you could be looking for ever, ...and still its a crap-shoot !

Smiley, why not email CCPK9 and ask what they know about Jack. Since he is listed on their site, they might know where he is and who owns him.
