Is she leaking from her urethra (where she pees) or from where the vet tapped her abdomen? If she's leaking from the site of where she was tapped, please call the vet & tell him this. A leakage from there is not uncommon, but it's not good, as your dog could get re-infected through that site. Also it means that she's not healing....not a good thing. I'm glad your dog is feeling better, but I think you're not out of the woods yet...please be vigilent & keep checking her temperature. You've come so far & done so much for her, I want you to keep going in the right direction. Good luck & God bless you for being so good to your girl. Despite her problems, she's lucky to have you! jackie harris

I had no idea the vet tapped anything? Though Im pretty sure she peed the water out. It was on her hind leg like she had layed in it. She hasnt had a temp since we got home but I will continue to check. Thanks again everyone! I was so lost feeling and after talking on here I really felt better and like i knew the right questions to ask to get the answers I needed. Im glad you feel Gabby is lucky to have me as I feel the same about her. She is just the right spark my Fience and I needed in our life :). My only concern now is making sure this doesnt happpen again, which is hard since Im still not sure how it happened in the first place. O well, prayers for now. Ill keep updated if we have any more questions or worries

Sorry, I thought you said that the vet had drained fluid from her abdomen at one point. Glad that it's just urine, if she's on lasix that can make you have to go pretty urgently.....! Glad to hear that she's getting better. Best wishes, jackie harris
