Melba:
It was a very good thing you did to help out your local shreriff,s dept. I donated the male I kept from my first litter after out local sheriff,s dept came and asked if i could help them they were looking at spending 7000.00 on a green 2 year old dog. and there budget was just starting. So I gave them Blitz we see him all the time and stop at the officers house on occasion to see him.

They did not ask, as K9 Dune had only been retired on March 15th. I offered as soon as I hear, as something screamed
inside me that this is what I needed to do, no matter how much it hurt to do so.
He was a one in a million dog. Of course I love my Nero, but they are like night and day. Nero is handler sensitive and
remembers a hard correction, though he quickly forgets once he knows I'm not mad at him. Deuce on the other hand,
would take the hardest correction and grin at me while he disobeyed commands. He never even thought twice about
a hard correction and took everything in stride. I found that positive training methods worked best with him because he
didn't take corrections seriously and was happiest if he thought it was HIS bright idea to give me his fullest attention. Once
Deuce "got it" he gave all he had. There once was a point in time when he decided that the stay command no longer applied
to him. After dragging him back several times (he had been doing a reliable stay for eons) he got up one too many times and
I tackled him. He's never held it against me, and has had a reliable stay ever since. He's the dog that says "make me"
and I did. Not handler hard in the least, just a knucklehead that has other ideas on what he'd like to be doing. LOL I had
a welt the size of a grapefruit and bruised from my knee down to my calf from hitting the ground. :) Not the kind of thing
I like to be doing.
Anyways, I really appreciate all of your wonderful pictures :) He's spoiled me, so will be difficult to find another puppy good
enough to fill his paw prints.

to trade ADs with me. I'd be happy to run one in the Fall if someone wanted to run one for me next month :)
I'm in a much better mood, especially with all of the puppies :) Now I have another problem.... I really want a puppy! LOL
