I have to say I've seen owners of 1 or 2 dogs that take far less care of them than people who have up to 20 dogs. People who just tie their dog out to an old drafty rotten dog house, rarely have fresh water, poor quality food, none or scant vet care, little shade. I can guarantee that my 12 dogs have far better lives, each one has it's own 8 x 18ft kennel on concrete, indoor/outdoor heated/air conditioned building to go in/out of, complete vet care, heartworm and flea/tick preventative, high quality food, clean water daily, large 1 acre dog yards for daily exercise/running time, etc/etc. They rotate through the house, 5 dogs inside at all times. So I don't think it's as much as how many dogs a person has as to the care/treatment of each and every dog one owns. I don't think we need more regulating by government.

Daryle, if your dogs are already coming up with commands could you please make sure they don't talk with any other gsds for a while? If they get together and organize a union we are screwed!!
