I believe AKC has a "multiple sire breeding registration.."  DNA everyone and submit with the paperwork.  Not sure if this flies with the S.V. and by the way women have been known to have twins with different fathers.  Mother nature go figure.....

Mac,
Unless I missed it in biology once the egg has been penetrated by a sperm no other sperm may enter.

yes , 1 sperm  to one egg, its going to be a mixed litter, if both sire have the goods

Unless they are identical twins, a very rare occurance in the dog world,  each puppy is contained in its own "birth sack" or placenta. Placentas are not duplexs, they are single family dwellings. Once an egg is successfully fertilized by sperm from one dog, there is absolutely no chance that another dog's sperm could gain penetration.

I expect that the SV will not register the litter if they learn that 2 different dogs bred this bitch. The owner needs to do the right thing and ask the registering organization to explain their policy regarding registering a litter from a bitch that has been mated to more than one stud dog. Why in the world did he breed her to another dog?

I sure hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but every single working dog alive has the very same foundation dogs in their pedigree as do the showlines. At birth, all GSD puppies look very much the same. There would be a better chance of identifying which male sired which puppy just by looking if one was not the same breed as the other.

Blitzen Nailed it:

"I sure hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but every single working dog alive has the very same foundation dogs in their pedigree as do the showlines. At birth, all GSD puppies look very much the same."

With that being said,, here is the pedigree of a  WORKINGLINE AND A SHOWLINE
WHO  worked and was beauty also with correct structure and produce same

My foundation bitch and proved it

DNA ALL THe pups!  Every pup has to be dna...so both parents have to be or shall we say all THREE parents have to be DNA'd.

Thanks Blitzen:   Larry Filo is my hero..HE sold me the best.

I miss her more than life but I have her descendants., left and they are the healthiest and tough working creatures. They are smarter than most humans. One of my customers dropped off a female for boarding this morning who just turned 4 , and he said  "Jan, she gets smarter every month"

lol

Has to be the good Ole  Buscecker Schloss mixed with that Wiethurchen and then stir a little Steinig Tall, Fluss Tal, increased with some Enclavehof and stir , simmer and You have the secret recipe for life. In the mix there just happened to get a tiny pinch of Steffen Haus along the way , with Uran v Wildsteigerland and some Tiekerhook thanks to GREG< lol

Have tried to ignore all threads in the castigating of sl/wl as no need to even consider it a bad thing.

NOw this case , I do not know..no pedigree to see and doesn't matter,,,,pups can be imprinted and get a very good start and do lots of good things..Just pray all are healthy and feed the Dam some extra portions of good Ole raw liver and hope all got a small education off this thread.

My foundation bitch was also a working x show cross.  I couldnt have asked for a better dog.... She lived a long healthy life of over 14 years, she proved herself in numerous ways (on the SchH field, show ring, AKC ob ring, herding pen, etc..) and produced really well for me.  In just two litters she now has kids and grandkids who are working as police dogs, SchH dogs, SAR dogs, service dogs, performance dogs, and of course great family pets.  I am currently working her granddaughter who is SG SchH1 Kkl1 and we will be working on her SchH2/3 next year hopefully.

Of course there was none of the nonsense about breeding on accident or breeding to two males after an accident lol

I know some people are against mixing the working and show lines...  but I have seen some nice dogs out of these mixes.

Laughed out loud in some parts of this thread - thanks for that :D.

But being serious for a while -

Here in Finland it's now possible to do planned matings with two sirs. This is made simple: you need mating certificates from the both males owners and when the puppies are born, they are DNA-tested. Of course, the female and both males have to be DNA-tested.
After getting the DNA-results, they will be registered normally.

This is made possible because of genetic diversity: i.e if you have a female which already has 4 of 5 possible litters, you can get 1 more litter with two different combinations. Also, if you travel far for the mating, you can use two males etc.

Curiosly, it's not uncommon that the puppies are descent of only one male. This can be explained with timing and also the fact that sperm contains indegredients which kill foreign sperm cells.

So, it's not all bad to use 2 males, it may increase the chance of pregnancy and also the chances to get the best puppies possible.
