Keep breeding litters guys, cause no matter how well you do a background check on where your dogs are going, they can and probably have ended up in crappy situations like this. It amazes me the amount of people posting things like this, and OHMYGODing it, then breeding anyways. Not this particular OP, but just anyone in general. Don't be so shocked about this, and then contribute to the problem. I know I will get blasted by saying this, and my point is probably not getting across the way I mean it to, but does anyone understand what I mean?

What a gorgeous looking lad I wish they had contacted me to help with either training or rehoming I would have done. At the moment i have a bitch in for training who is going through the same problems but i am getting through to her. they are only down the road from my training clasee. oh stupid people, they needn't come to me for a pup because they will be told where to go.

I have to agree with autobahn... the amount of litters being bred at the minute is disgusting... so many dogs in rescue, so many people losing their jobs, their homes and having to give up their dogs. Yet it seems that everyday on FB there's another Litter 'Brag' or announcement....

If this is so then the names of the people responsible for this need to be posted across as many forums as possible to stop these people obtaining any breed of dog.
How many times do you see 'out of control dogs' only for the owners to say '........but its only a puppy, we are waiting till it's older so we can start training it' and then being told that the dog is 11, 12 moths old or even older.
As most responsible owners know, a dog is never too young to start to be trained, shame the KC didn't pick up on this when they evicted the 5 month old puppy and its owner from crufts, who were there as part of a display to promote KCGCS and puppy training.

These idiots took the easyest way out. Couldn't be bothered finding a rescue for the dog, couldn't be bothered sorting out the issue with a trainer or doing the research themselves. They are typical of a lot of people today. They probably think they did the right thing by putting him down instead of letting someone else have a go at the dog. I see in the picture an inside dog that is young and I'd bet almost anything it was not getting enough exercise. That is the basic root of a lot of young dog's behavior problems. That and that their owners were a pair of idiots who should not be allowed to raise anything because I'm sure they'll bail on their offspring too.

Yes, Autobahn, I certainly understand and agree 100% with your message above. I have seen it all, including situations all you are describing. We have people posting here proudly about their litter, breeding after breeding, not knowing what they are producing or why, for the money and because of all the wrong reasons. To hell with learning about the breed, to hell with learning about training and how to properly evaluate temperaments, and certainly, to hell with trying even minimally to screen potential homes. I cannot sell my rare and excellent pups because I cannot find appropriate homes. But too many here sell because it is about nothing except the money and fulfilling one's ego.
This dog likely needed discipline and limits set, long ago and when he behaved inappropriately, letting him know it was unacceptable several times would probably have solved the problem. But no, it is easier just to put the dog down, or worse yet, pawn it off on some rescue, or some unsuspecting stranger who likely has no clue about how to deal with a dog either.
It is one reason why I am so fanatical about some of the breedings being advertised here. But then, too many people have no conscience, so what the hell does it matter?

I just adopted a rescue and the difference between him (no training whatsoever for the first 7 mos) and my female, who's training started at her breeder's before I ever got her, is glaringly obvious. He is coming along, but he wasn't set up for training and he is pretty far behind in responsiveness and it takes him longer to learn. My female's foundation was set up to teach her to learn and train, be responsive and attentive. It's never too early to start that, and makes all the difference in getting through adolescence without too many speed bumps. If you put that in before they hit stoopid age, you've got the tools in there already to work through it. Trying to start teaching right when they get *mentally challenged* seems counter productive to me :o)
Drives me crazy when people waste a dog's early foundation until they are obnoxious and then pawn them off on rescue or some other unsuspecting owner. You know they are going to blame it on the dog and run right out and get a new puppy. Pet peeve when I see people are trying to "sell" one year old dogs with no training... they should be paying someone to clean up their mess instead. They think they deserve to get reimbursed for screwing up a dog.
