I agree with k9ulf
I don't believe that ony good cats and dogs can get along I have to gsd and they will never accept a cat in the house they see it as prey and will chase it down , don't know what they would do with it but a high drive dog will often see cats as either a prey object or rival
some dogs can learn my female though can be anywhere neer any other animals small ones like birds , rabbits and so on she will be at the cage all the time trying to catch the prey
