Videos in pedigree pages - Page 4

Great idea.
 

In my case the only problem is that my youtube account name is the same as my kennel name, so on all my dogs registered, any of my youtube vids may show up...my horses, my son, family Christmas, LOL!

The one I noticed, Capri's (who doesn't even bear my kennel name) has a video of puppies on it.

Jenn, it's not the youtube account, but the title of the video. Oli wants the search picking up the dog's registered name in the video title.

I know, Shady. But my problem is I was on sloooow satellite internet so I went to my aunt's to upload all my vids on my camera (and there were a bunch!) to youtube. Well, since I did them all at once, they ALL have the same name except the ones that I picked through one by one and changed. Thus, though there are not individual titles w/the names of the dogs, "vom Eisenherz" is on them all and so they all show up. Now, I don't see any vids w/any of them. Is this feature on hold or something?

I'll go through and try to fix them and make them searchable. Cool idea, for sure.

Please just allow us to add video just like we add albums or change the pedigree photo. While this idea is a "good idea", it is one of those things where just because you CAN, does not mean that you should! This is similar to facebook allowing others to tag you in their pictures...GREAT idea...but not everyone wants such a cool modern addition to their worlds...Facebook has now re-thought this policy and now individuals must ok the tag. What was done to only search the dogs name seems to eliminate some of the issues, but still unwanted videos that were named before this improvement are now on pedigree pages...this is just like someone adding pictures or information to the page.

PLEASE! add video to the toolbar to allow us to add video if it is WANTED. Just because you can, does NOT mean that you SHOULD!

This was a great idea. It is awesome that people care enough to make improvements. But I bet that if we were asked, we would all prefer a video icon in the toolbar to allow us the choice on what to add. I am now left with trying to go ammend the video on youtube and naming all future video "fido" in hopes that Fido vom Kennelname does not end up with my videos on their page. I believe that the NSA has a position open for a guy with your talents!

None-the-less, I am sure this was only meant to improve the site and I appreciate the effort.
