Ruger1,
Just be sure to wear a helmet......And enjoy the bouncing and have lots of NSAIDs around to take when you are sore!

Absolutely, good luck. And as for your mare post, post, post!
BTW, I think your kids are very normal. They are just growing up and have new interests. I`m sure they`ll be buying horses for their kid in the future!
All the best!

jmopaso here, thanks for the nice comment on my site. you said you were not that far away, maybe we can get together and ride sometime. Sancho (my buckskin Paso Fino stallion) and I are always looking for riding buddies.

Ruger,
No sweat girl the bigger the trot the sweeter the ride
. Also, you wont' need any aerobics classes if your instructor makes you post with out stirrups
.
I had a horse when I was a kid and my parents took me to gymkhanas every weekend. Had to sell them when I went to college but bought another one as soon as I was able after school. Have had them ever since.
If the horses have always been at the trainers you are in for a treat having them at the house. You get listen to their greetings when you enter the barn, watch them play when you turn them out, or just go out to the barn and relax with their companionship. You also get to look forward to feeding them multiple times a day, mucking theirs stalls every day, breaking ice in their buckets when it's cold, fly spraying them morning and night during the buggy season, putting blankets/sheets on at night and taking them off in the morning and so much more....... Being a horse owner is great
