Standards? There are no standards for the most part here or elsewhere be it about language or anything else. That is exactly part of the problem.

Hey, I was just messing around. A little sarcasm and a little bs.
Later peeps.

I for one will not be inhibited to post due to language, when I see I was misunderstood I would rephrase what I posted earlier and wouldn't feel shy to ask about words I don't find in the dictionary. I find almost all members here are nice and ready to explain things especially if they think you are serious and need advice.

But if I see very difficult posts that include too many difficult words, phrases, or scientific terms or technical ones, I keep silent and keep away as if I start asking for explanations I might ruin the thread, so I tell myself these are not yours either try to comprehend as much as you can or simply stay away from them, but tell you what, when I see someone like hodie (and many others) writing a neat post I envy her this capability language and brain wise.

Reality....................... some, not all are looking for information. Honestly, does not or should not matter how one goes about it. In the military we hear, "you are only as strong as your weakest link" (a chain). I look at society as the same. In my lifetime it's a shame what I have witnessed. I am no scholar by far but being in the miltary and a police officer I was taught (as a P.O.) that your reports represent your agency. S. A./ Defense lawyers/Judges don't read your name, mostly your report and that report falls on your agency. It's a different era, with kids, teachers, schools, education, life etc; It's a shame. I remember once at a drive through for Mickey Ds.... The cashiers' machine was down and I paid with a $100.00 bill. Since the machine couldn't tell the high school student how much change to give back to me she was "stupified" and froze! I was literally shocked........ Then I helped her.
Texting/e-mail is one of the hardest ways of communication because we as Americans are taught a certain way. And we don't have that ability to read facial and body language, gestures and so forth. I've spent some years overseas and to see European countries speak better english or proper english better than a good percentage of Americans.
I watched a few years back a documentary on, I believe 20/20 about education standards. It entailed a la ti dah dah college out of New York, and I don't even think it was a college, think it was high school out of Brussels and a third Place, can't remeber where? (But foreign) And there was a series of tests being administered. New york was having major problems and Brussels was breezing by saying that it was nothing too hard! They interviewed students after the tests and the concensus was pretty much that the Americans were big babies and didn't have enough discipline etc; etc;...................................

Alboe - right on!! The same comments about language apply as well to math in our country. We have rapidly fallen behind so many nations. I think the latest test put us something like 22nd in the world. We cannot compete against the other nations of the world without people who have benefited from their education and can speak, read, write, comprehend, calculate, engineer, etc. etc. Education here in this country is assumed to be a right, where in reality, it is a great honor and privilege to be able to go to school.
Alboe demonstrates in the email above that yes, whether we like it or not, one IS judged by how one communicates, or doesn't. My comments are not directed at anyone in particular, nor even at this forum, in particular, but at a society that has lost its way and desire for excellence in all things.
And Ibrahim, you are one of those who write very well, although English is not your native language. Your posts are generally well written and clear, and if they are not, yes, you ask again or someone asks you to clarify. You epitomize someone who values proper language skills. You are meticulous and careful even in your thinking about GSDs and dogs.
Writing is a skill.......mostly (yes, there is a small part that is art as well). To be able to clearly express oneself in writing or orally takes work.....for almost all of us, me included.

Can we get back on topic please :)
3 pages about, how they write or spell is plenty, considering her Topic is about people taking the time TO READ the threads BEFORE commenting
Thanks

This is a good example where a little straying is not a big deal, well within the confines of the original topic, and probably warrants ignoring. However, it is also an example of where one person would moderate and another let it go. See - everyone is different.
I am done with the thread.

That's the key word 'a little straying' .... 3 pages is plenty.
It seems to have people talking enough where it deserves it's own thread
