Thanks for the kind words everyone. It was a sudden thing, he was fine on Sunday evening and was gone when I went to him on Monday. That's ironic Nalayukon, I had a female, Nala Mallassagne that passed at 13 several years ago. Very nice tribute you have for her.

I like the bitch, look at her web site she has a few nice Mainois. The bitch looks like a nice DP line male I use to have. I like the stocky ones or rather the ones with big wide heads.....lol The lady must have been going to Halloween Party .... The best dogs I have ever had might have been a Malinois or a old DDR male I had in early 90's both where great dogs and a pleasure to work and train. Didn't always score as high as u would like but they where both hammers in the bite work and way too real...lol I mean there was not a stranger ever petting or touching either one Especially Roy the malinois but he would little kids ride him and loved my son but never ever an adult he was a character and a great dog.

So sorry for your loss. The unexpected seems to be worse than the long dreaded decision to put one down if only because you don't get to say goodbye. My friends Therapy dog got loose on Monday and was hit by a train. He is devastated and we can so relate to your pain. We still don't know how Malice got out. Just a sad, sad week.

Nalayukon,
Pascal Te and Pedro...I can't say enough about.
There are some fantastic dogs off of Pedro's father. In europe
Pascal website is a very good connection to everything going
on in dog sports. Here in the USA information kind of trickles in.
Phil has Jack DP2,...off of in Taureau and Ex Caliber.. The thing is,
Jack passed on Fr Ring traits like no other dog. and when coupled with Robin
you had the magic cross for Ring sports. Also Othar was a very good
with this cross My Girls are line bred off of old Jack progeny.
To the German Shepherd people Jack would be like a Pike or
Aly. The DP2 " J "litter is the most famous litter in the history of
the Malinois breed. Julia, Juliette, Jack........Platinum producers.
Pedro;s father is one of the last great Malinois with old
bloodlines, so I think Pedro will cross over and be used alot in all the dog sports,
mainly because he is the best of the Progeny so far.
I give you two great dogs....Both keenly bred.

Phil I have buried 2 dear dogs recently in span of 5 days and I have many before. Thus I know how you feel. They are all OK now though. It does not get any easier as I get older. Only time and another puppy dog in the house will help. That is my medicine.
Take care.
