Wow, baby, here you just have to mark the perimeter of your property every 100'. Signs are not necessary. Purple paint on trees at certain heights is all that is needed.

Donald,
I know what you mean about the "rats with hooves"...I think it was you that posted that. Yes, they can be very destructive on your gardens, which is why we bagged one deer one year right in our yard, that had killed several of our fruit trees. We fed it all year, unintentionally, and so we ate it.
But here our biggest issue is not deer. They tend to avoid yards with dogs, so they don't get up near the garden or trees so much anymore, now that we have two dogs. But moose are a major problem. They don't respect fences, they don't respect dogs, and they just don't care. They killed several more of our fruit trees. They are protected here, with tags being issued in each "unit" on a lottery system. You put in for a tag, and get one if your name is drawn. The damn things can trample your dog to death right on your front porch, or destroy your car, and the most you can do is shoot at them with these rubber slugs that F&G gave us. Can't shoot to kill, though, unless a human being's life is threatened. OTher than that, they can get away with anything at all, and there is nothing you can do. And the state is not apparently liable for the damage done to your property.
Hunting hogs with dogs, I have no problem with. Hogs are spreading through the south, and are said now to have populations in more than 36 states in the continental United States. They destroy crops, property, and are prolific breeders. Their populations need to be decimated, or eliminated completely, since they are an invasive species that does not belong here.
Just my opinion, mind you.

Where / what state you live in? I have got attacked by moose once in Wyoming. Right in front of my house. I went for the fire wood and my dogs were barking at something behind my house. Their bark went from low to high pitch and suddenly they run pass me looking over their shoulder . Right behind them came cow moose with little calf . Dogs kept the distance so she homed on me. Run into me and knocked me down with her chest. and run over me. I scrambled on my hands and knees and any way I could got into my house slamming door right into her face. She was going after me all the way. Got lucky that day.
