Mudwick,
Bernhard was with me for 3 weeks in June and comes here every year to do seminars.  Bernhard is a good friend and a fantastic trainer and handler.  His SchH seminars are great and his Police K9 seminars are even better.  Bernhard is not "disgruntled" in regards to the video.  He did receive one video at no charge.  Bernhard is a really great guy and a super nice guy, he doesn't get caught up in that nonsense and wouldn't waste a minute worrying about it.  I highly doubt he would ever do another seminar for Ed.  He has far too many better places to go and train.

I am already looking forward to his visit next year.

Jim

BTW, the video is very good, especially when Ed stops talking and you can actually hear Bernhard speak.

Max, so what does that make Mike Diehl if Flinks is one of the best?

Myracle

Yup.  Bernhard is definitely one of the trainers I "look up to", so to speak.

Thanks for the clarification.

Sam,
It makes Mike the one who owned Brawnson, who was one of the best.

Brawnson I salute you old soldier, you should have had a better retirement.
May you rest in peace.   Sad Mike very sad.

I would also agree that Mike Diehl is also excellent.  There are many excellent trainers out there doing seminars, another great SchH / K9 handler is Gerald Groos form Germany.  Debbie Zappia is also fantastic and one of the best at OB and tracking I have ever seen.  Her seminars are very worthwhile.  There are many great people out there, you just need to find a philosophy you like and suits your style and use it.

That's funny that someone would mention Ed "Fraudly" as being a tight ass and not paying for services rendered.  For years Ed has "pirated" other peoples methods and techniques and put them on "his" videos and made a healthy profit.  Ed positions himself with his camera, films whole seminars or training sessions, edits them with his voice over and sells them, giving nothing to the people actually doing the work.  That's the only thing that Ed brings to the dog table, a pleasant speaking voice for audio listening, training wise, clueless, just makes money from other people's knowledge and efforts.  Kinda' like a parasite,,,,,,yeah that's it, a parasite.

Jim,
Another trainer  I like a alot is Bart Bellon, ....on softening and focusing dogs
that other wise might be a little tough to handle. He brings in alot of NVBK
techniques, that work very well with police, or schutzhund. If you get chance to see him, it is
worthwhile. Very good trainer.

Max,
Bart Bellon is going to be out my way doing a seminar in a few months.  I'm going to try to attend.  From what I have seen of him it certainly seems worthwhile.  The other night I was fortunate enough to meet Koos Hassing and have him work my dog.  It was very interesting and a lot of fun.

Jim,
Koos,.... Ron(Tom, Eros, and Como) and Bart.   Breed and train dogs that have
more than enough drive, however need to Chanel it. I love those dogs.

Some of these ladys in the Midwest who do the barrel races can brush their teeth put on
their make up while riding these barrel racing horses, where you and me would be
taking a bronc ride. That's how I see those trainers from North Belgium and the Netherlands.
Very good trainers and very good dogs.

Bart is not a breeder though, he will look test dogs, drive breeders crazy and than pick his dog.
But that can be good to,  he has a pretty good eye.
