Mad Max there are not two types of GSD in the UK there is only the correct type anything other than that is not a GSD whether you call your dogs GSD's or not if they are not of the correct type then they are not GSD's, you stated  we all have different interpretations of the breed standard as we by now all know, so learn to live with that. tell me what part of the standard does it say that the depth of body is more than the length of leg, where does it state in the standard that the total height to length is as 7 is to 10 where in the standard does it ask for a dippy back where in the standard does it ask for poor temperament, so the truth is that the dogs you are showing are in fact not GSD's dont know what they are do you.In your own words you can only go to a few shows that is because the other shows are for GSD's and not what you show end of

PACOSBEAR

OMG - I think you may have the age of the dog's sire incorrect as he seems to be born in 06 which is OK for an 08 pup but hip score of 71!

Looks like the father was scored after the dog was born - wonder if the breeder was even bothered when the score was 71?

So the litter was registered from unscored sire who then later had a score of 71! - and the KC pretend to care!

Hutch - I knew I should have taken socks and shoes off to count correctly

Hip score very balanced .......................................................36/35

The sire was then awarded DCC by a very prominent KC judge ( I wonder if his decision would have been the same if he had been made aware of the hip score) gained his SBN and from thereon in is KC approved for breeding.

No problem, which photos would you like me to remove? But I must honestly state that these are the only photos I have of these dogs and this is how I saw the dogs on the day. The others photos are of my friends dogs but I will gladly publish them if it helps. I personally would love to see other photos of your dogs!

by Zakasia on 20 April 2010 - 17:04

Mad max.....Blanik does not need your permission to use the photographs she took them and they are her property....i suggest you go and read the law on taking photographs.....and just to add.....the camera never lies.

by Doppelganger on 20 April 2010 - 17:04

Zakasia I suggest you go and read the Kennel Club rules which say:

'Specific dogs may be photographed only with the approval of the exhibitor'

As the owner has specifically requested the removal of the photos of her dogs, I think it would only be courteous to comply.

by Zakasia on 20 April 2010 - 18:04

Did that apply when they were filming pedigree dogs exposed??? even tho it stated in the schedule that nobody is allowed to take vidoe or take photographs of other peoples dogs...NO...and i really couldnt give a flying fig about the kennel club.....those pictures were taken in a public place.....and since when has the kennel club had the right to tell people when and where they can take pictures.

If there are no temperament issues why does the second pic dog need restraining whilst the judge is going over it?

by bazza on 20 April 2010 - 20:04

And the judges foot posistion is a bit iffy, and what is she looking for on the side of the dog?
