This is the dog I was more wondering about if she was Blk & Tan or possibly a sable?

kitkat3478--
Some dogs are just difficult to tell from pictures.

The solidity of the black on her sides makes me think black and tan, but the grizzling on head, neck, and shoulder could indicate sable. Is the grizzling on her face is from age or from sable banding? Is the grizzling on her shoulder from sable banding or is she's blowing coat, with undercoat showing through? I'd want to put hands on and turn back the hair to look for banding and see her in a different light to be sure. So, from *this* picture, I wouldn't swear she's one color or another.

BlackthornGSD, here are a few better pics. Her mother is a sable,
and with Lacey, her coloring started to come out about 3 years old, her mother was just about identical to her, as far as the coloring. The coat she had in that pic was her new coat. She was registered blk & tan. She passed about 10 years old, asnd had 2 litters of pups, one with 4 pups, one blk. and tan and 3 solid blacks, and the second litter was 4 all solid blacks(out of which, I have 4).

If she never produced sable, and she was black and tan as a puppy, and she looks black and tan now.... I'd say she's a black and tan. :)

Kitkat from your last photos I would say black and tan and the photos of the long coat i would say black and tan to but not the best photos to tell 100%.
