I'd like to read about silver labs from a geneticist, not a silver lab breeder. Not everything you read on the internet is true. Most of the "silver labs" I've met have distinctly long, thin ears; slightly dished faces; skinny, whip-like tails, and very odd coats. Very clearly blended with weimeraner. So even if the color happens rarely in labs, there are definitely people breeding in weims to capitalize on the rare color market.
