Oma's Pride is great, I buy their bulk whole bones (lamb necks, venison necks, pork necks, chicken backs & necks) and I buy their course ground tripe, as well as their organ blends. I used to get my whole bones, tripe and organs from Bravo, but I can't get the whole bones from them like I used to. It worked out fine, I am just as happy with Oma's Pride and it costs less to boot!

Jim, thanks for the information on cottage cheese and Oma's Pride. Also, Sue thanks for your endorsement of the product.
Let me think through your suggestions and I will come back with any questions.

A few years back I had little money to spend on expensive dog food and for about a year fed Ol Roy (the brown bag) from WalMart. One day I was talking to another dog owner who was complimenting my dogs glossy coats and athleticism. His exact words were, "WOW, They look great! You must be feeding that expensive stuff. Not that Ol Roy."
Hahaha... It worked well enough and my dogs looked good, but clean-up was NOT a fun time. Their poop was always very light and on the soft side. Quality food definitely makes a difference on the way out
