Sounds like it's a good thing you took him in. They were going to kill him with kindness. Thanks for helping out and opening your home to another GSD. I'm sure he will be fine and end up being a great dog for you.

What a good news!
I didn't get the impression the owner was dirt poor when I talked to her. And the town she lives in is far from slums either. I think it wasn't the lack of funds that kept them from adequate vet care, more a personal philosophy "a visit to a vet = a pair of Blahniks". And I sure hope there were tears of grattitude there too, she should understand what you're doing for HER family member of 4 years...
Wish you all the luck in the world with him. :)

Ditto Katrina,
Thanks guys for taking him in....I am getting in another one, next week, that nipped someone from the Seattle area...the dogs got out on garbage day. Been to obedience and everything. ONLY 2 yrs old rescued before...but being as Washington is about everyone sueing everyone else, they can't keep him...great dog with other dogs and people...just got a bit excited when loose. Go figure.
The guy was crying on the phone. I am the dogs', last hope... before being killed!!!!

You got that right they could have just liberated him or dumped at a shelter or worse.
Hey was it your rescue that sent a DDR dog to NJ named WOLF? Older male retired to good home
Cool dog really nice lady came to training one time and I think she said he came from Montana?
Anyway have a great night all
