Amazing how many new friends once makes when one has a training field and practice tracking 8 miles from the stadium. LOL Its been a very fun week meeting people and hosting friends new and old. I'm heading back to the stadium as soon as I finish a few things around the place and pick up a couple of special request items downtown.

This is the first National-level Schutzhund event I have attended in about 10 years. I am impressed with the way the overall quality of the training has improved! Both Steve Miller and Eric Beasley have excellent FEMALES entered.
Gotta love a good hard bitch!

Sucks we are expecting T-storms Sat and Sun.

I will be heading out on Saturday, hope to see some of you there.  I'll be the one with the adorably cute baby in a stroller.

Anybody have or heard scores on the IPO1, 2 or 3's?

The tracking scores are all over the board, everything from 1-100 pts., regardless of the flight.  I understand the terrain is inconsistent from track to track, mostly nearly waist high, thick and difficult for the tracklayers to navigate. This is why we track in anything/everything we can imagine when preparing for a Championship. Sooner or later you're going to see it all, and it rarely resembles what is described prior to the event IMExp. The tracking fields are in NJ, 1.5 hours from the Host hotel, at least two hours from the stadium (more if you hit traffic) I don't plan to go our to see tracking.

Their have been some imprssive performances in all three phases. the most notable in the stadium, (IMO) was Phil Hoelcher. He could well take it all. So far he is at 95 in B, 98 in C. If his dog hadn't touched to hurdle on the way over he would have had 97 or better! No time to give you the run-down on the rest right now, but I'll try to give you more later. The Maligators are kicking butt, but after only one day, hard to say who might pop up and take it all.
