GSDtravels

by GSDtravels on 11 May 2009 - 15:05

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that either it is him and he's not hurt too badly OR that the search will continue and he will be found.  I was so disappointed to hear there's a possibility that it's not him, but it just goes to show that there is still hope.  Sending my best for a good outcome.  Hang in there.

I would not trust anyone who does not know the GSd to confirm LC or Stock hair. I also would not trust anyone to know a LC is a GSD.  I would be carful about stating looking for GSD, 99% of the poeple would not know a LC is a GSD>including VETS! They think collie mix.  You stted you just recently moved, I know my female wanted to go home for about the 1st few months and wouldl do anything to break out and go. Check you old house and let the neighbors there know. I wish you luck in finding your dog.

Your old vet should have the rabies tag number, which should help.  I would agree with the previous poster that folks who don't know Shepherds won't necessarily describe them well -- particularly if the dog is muddy, wet, whatever.  Keeping prayers and good thoughts coming your way!

Its keizer. He is doing good. he's got 18 stitches in his side flank, dr. shaved him, he is kinda silver or grey down deep, mabe from old age, or he was silver when he was a puppy. He is a little thin, but not to thin, he was kinda fat anyway.  no major damage. he is a little droggy from pain medicine, doctor had to shave him for an hour to find were all the blood was coming from.  when he gets better i going to have to shave him more, when he gets better, he looks nothing like a gsd now. lol he and me both have been sleeping since 12 pm, together in my bed, he is still sleeping. best sleep since wendsday. I almost didnt reconize him my self, but i know that collar. It belonged to my last gsd, thankyou  for all your prayers
