How sad that the people with actual knowledge are leaving.  Hodie has helped me more than once, whether she meant to or not.  Her advice is usually spot on.

there have been some nasty trolls on this board for a long time don't let them run this place into the ground. 
that's two of the people i respect most on this board gone.
 

Never say never. It's been said before, time and again. Time changes everything.

I don't post here often, but to be honest many people on this site are very rude, insulting and aggressive at times including the ones being defended here and some of the members defending them.
Not defending nor attacking but just my observation.
Saying this to make a point that each and every person here needs to be nicer to each other regardless of their knowledge and expereince.  Excuses for ourselves and others will do nothing but continue the fighting and lowering the value of this board.
If we all just take the position that unless you have something nice to say about someone then don't say it, most of this fighting will disappear and also ignore trouble makers, everyone flag their posts and hopefully they get deleted. By responding back many get drug into the fight and it esculates until even nice good members lose their cool and say things out of line which de-values the purpose of this board.
Hope this does not make anyone mad but unless we all do our part nothing will change and good people will keeping leaving the board.

Beetree, I hope that the new feature leads to Hodie and Sue coming back, at least to try it out. There was a valid point made above to the effect that both (as well as several of the rest of us) have been known to strike back when attacked, and give as good (or better!) as was dished out. That is simply human nature. I have slapped back, hard, when attacked, and I admit very few times have I simply ignored it. Ditto with Sue and Hodie. The new feature may make that not appear to be so necessary. At any rate, I've posted both Hodie and Sue about it and asked them to come back to at least give it a try.

I never attacked Hodie and she was the first to jump on the bash triodegirl bandwagon when Silbersee demanded Bella back after finding out I was a transplant recipient. Unforgivable behavior from a so called professional. I could never, never, never be as mean and hateful as some of the people around here.

      I myself would like to take this opportunity to apologize to "YOU", as well as the rest of this board. I myself have NOT handled myself as I should. I am a 50 year old woman, that should have known better.

    As anyone who has taken "personal hits" , knows, it is easier said, than done to ignore!  The people that have left this board, were (are)very knowledgeable people that have been involved with the German Sheperd breed , for a very long time.I can-not nor will dispute that 'ALL OF YOU,' professionals have forgotten , MORE, about the Breed, than I will EVER know!

      I am a "self proclaimed", "NOVICE", in the sport of sch.,I Come, and came here to learn. Which is exactly what I have done! I have along way to go. No Doubt.

      I do ask alot of questions, and offer 'only' basic advice. I do admit I love to show off my dogs, and I will , always ,defend MY DOGS. Who don't.

      I DO promise to keep a civil tongue, from here on out, Again, I sincerey apologize for my part in the disruption of this board.
