Two Moons

by Two Moons on 06 April 2009 - 18:04

Hi Jackie,
I'm light...  My arse is still raw from the spankings, so I walk softly and found the biggest stick I could carry.
My pups are beautiful, one had a slow ear but its up now.  They seem very driven and still full of energy.  Three are in training.  I'm still trying to  see them all.
BTW, I decided to repeat the breeding with this same stud.  I watched him track and was very impressed.
And I like his size and conformation.   I'll get over the white marks.
Gonna keep one this time.
Thanks for asking.
Brent.

Moons, I am well aware of this attitude shared by more than a few. I just tend to call it "elitist' and the best way to defeat it is by living your great life, in the moment. Remember, it is they who are doing the "waiting". I agree with you, where you say you disagree. It would be a mistake to base one's self-worth on opinions such as they promote. It is usually a mind game with them. What can and should happen is there will be new and better people posting with their self-imposed boycott.

Ok, now I'm done, I'm going to make my own birthday cake.

Well moons they would only hear the echo in their heads if not for us underlings..So who would have the last laugh ?? Just look at all the other sections of the data base , From A to Z no one is their,, They would be talking to themself . If all us underlings left they would think the ones in their class were not as worthy as themself ..Once again they would just be hearing the echo in their head ,no one to listen, no one to reply,  NO REPLY AT ALL ..

As a newly arrived "member" here, I would like to put something out there.

There are many different types on this board....show people, working people, sport folks, new owners....in other words people from one end of the GSD spectrum to the other.  People who have been breeders/owners/trainers for years and people who have just gotten into GSDs.   I have been a bit put off by some of the negativity that flows around here like a sneaky snake, but being a thick-skinned type and having been a lurker and/or poster on a lot of different boards for many years, I just ignore it and go on with my life.

I just think in the interest of our breed, less personality involvement and sniping would go a long way towards making this a more welcoming place for new members. There may be many people that would have valuable input here that just don't bother for lack of interest in being involved in some kind of hurt feelings/I'm O.K./you're not exchanges and even more potential new members that don't even put a foot in the water.

If the intention of maintaining this board is to pool  experience to the betterment of all,  I think there should be more focus on welcoming new people. I can't recall the posters' name, but someone recently came on board and asked for a critique of her dog.  Some people made a point of basically telling her that her dog was crap/ WTH was she thinking ect., comments that would have sent most people packing never to return. Others were more kind in thier comments and as a result of this particular person hanging in there, thier decision was made not to breed her dog. As I see it, a small step towards the betterment of the breed and a few less puppies in the shelter resulted.

People should keep in mind that most every person who goes so far as to register and post is a potential new champion of healthy, well bred German Shepherds. If a certain breeder/kennel is really doing something unethical I would like to know about it, but a simple stating of THE FACTS should suffice. Obviously there are going to be personality conflicts. You can't expect twenty people in one room to all be best buds, so it certainly is too much to hope for that everyone here is going to like each other.  I just think that if people would moderate THEMSELVES as to personal/political/religious opinions, this would be a better board and would accomplish much more in the interest of our dogs and the breed in general.

Well, I have procrastinated as long as I could possibly procrastinate, & now I have to do some work. It's Dog Ear Cleaning Time, Toenail Clipping Time, & Tooth Cleaning Time, rainy day activities that none of us here particularly like, but needs to get done anyway!

Moons, glad to hear that ear came up, they usually do, just makes you worry for a while! How soon are you going to wait before you breed your female again?

Beetree- Enjoy your Cake! There's not enough cake in life!

All Others- I am not being arrogant or any other thing.....but I gotta go! jackie harris
