Candy, Yes, i agree with you regards what it says on the bag, and as you say if the Dog looks well and keeps well then changing kibbles is pointless and silly
As regards Feeding and keeping dogs in kennels expecting them to stay fit is near impossible, and as you say they need excersise and work to go along with the feeding
To go off the subject of Dogs to Long Distance Racing Pigeons, if i am preparing them for say an International flight against all Europe distance 700 miles,
The feeding of what they are fed Protein, Carbs, and Fats come in at different times of the build up which is a good month prior to the race, and in the last 10 to 12 days before shipping it is highly important i get it right,
But none of this feeding is worth two cents if i do not work the birds regards there flying and work rate, to feed the pigeons that way and not work them would result in faliure the two must work togetther much the same as Dogs
Sorry for bringing up the subject of pigeons, but just to show a comparision to Candys reply
