It's like beating a dead horse, [or a hung over one] I give up..... Whats going to happen, is going to happen.

it doesn't sound like he's breeding merely for color. and from his posts on other threads i would assume when he says "good" he means that this female has something to offer by way of brains & temperament - that's not nothing! if more folks took into account these qualities maybe the breed would be improving instead of becoming more and more divided. it's all important: beauty, brawn & brains hence the whole idea that GSD are the all around dog - most dogs have one of these, some have 2, very few have all 3. if he breeds a brainy bitch to a brawny dog whose to say he won't end up improving the breed. Personally i'll look for a breeder who is trying to work all 3 of these into their litters; and i'm particularly found of the brainy GSD's so would take brainy over beauty & brawny any day:)
jmo,
susan
p.s. if you do breed her please keep me in mind, especially if she has an intelligent plushy male:)

I would have to agree with Susan on this one. Two Moons seems to know what he is talking about. He has the right knowledge and the right idea. I also would have to agree with Susan about GSDs being brainy. I woul prefer a dog that has the ability to be taught anything, and know it, rather than have a strong beautiful one. I also would prefer all three in a dog, but for a pet quality pup, I would say brains. Brains are a big thing to people. Best of Luck Two Moons! Let us know what male you have picked for her!

Funny no matter what you breed you will have people that want one. From dwarf Gsd's to the giant sized Shiloh, all types of colors , whatever mixed breeding you can think of and so on.
Wish these type breeders would stay away from German Shepherds.

Word to the wise is if you are considering buying a puppy take note of the people on here that agree that this would be a good breeding!

"I am looking for a solid black stud within an hour's drive from either Louisville Ky. or Evansville In. in any direction, I am in between the two.
My bitch is coming into heat now and I would like to breed her this cycle to another black , not looking for champion's, just a solid GSD
Midnite; www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/502191.html not much on paper but a good dog."
Oh REALLY? Looks like he stressed twice that he wanted a black. The other words are not looking for a champion's just a solid GSD. I think most reasonable people would think the most important criteria stated was to be a black male gsd.
We need to changed the name of this Board to the AKCpedigreeboard. lol

Very sad thread indeed. After all your post the last year Two moons ,I would have expected a different mindset.

Two Moons I saw this black one up for stud service online.
He has a very nice head on him,, and a good temperament with people and children. His drives aren't over the top or anything, but you'll have to call for prices.
