Until recently i had never heard of "king or shiloh shepherds",we do not have them here in the uk.I did have a look at a couple of web sites just out of curiuosity,i will not say what i thought!!!! Ihave however learned the strength of feelings about these dogs threw this data base,and IMO the original poster of this thread is blatently trying to rouse peoples anger. those who reply are giving this waste of space person exactly what he set out to do.PLEASE DO NOT PLAY HIS/HER GAME,DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME WITH A REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!  LIZ

Basically, the OP thinks fear of thunderstorms and separation anxiety are desirable traits in other posts.  So, to each his own. 

your mut may fun.......  and that's about it........ a genetic misfit in my opinion spawn frow human greed.  No history of a king every stoping a shipment of contraban on neutrilizing a real threat on the street.  If these dogs were as great you say/think where's the proff.  Millions of shepherds are in service work  as we speak, doing important life saveing jobs. Never once heard of a King doing anything execpt making money for greedy humans.  if they did possess any merit wheres the service records?

This thread is driving me nuts.  Ok, there IS technically a "King Shepherd", as recognized by a few of the Rare Breed organizations.  It is a cross between a GSD and a Shiloh.  If the breed heritage test showed GSD, Mal, and Pyr, then it is possible it is a "King", or a Shiloh.

However, please don't be fooled by what you read on the information sites for King Shepherds.  They do not get to be as big as 140 lbs unless they're fat.  Females don't often get to be even 100 lbs.  Most males are 110-120 tops.  Height is usually 30" or less, no matter what you read. 

Some breeders have been misleading buyers for years.  Pedigrees were falsified, erroneous, lost, misplaced, never sent.

The DNA test determines parentage, but there is a new test called the Canine Breed Heritage Test that determines the genetic MAKEUP of dogs, not parentage.  Some of these test come back as 100% GSD.  Some do not. 

Bottom line is, if you want a standard GSD or a coated GSD, do your research as a buyer.  The appearance of a shepherd is personal preference.  If you like the large coated dogs, you can look toward a LHGSD breeder or a Shiloh.  If you like the standard look, there are plenty of options there, too.

Do your homework, ask questions, and don't believe everything you read on the websites.

Wow! So much venom and animosity toward an animal! While you're ranting and venting your spleens why not take time to decry the AKC show GSD's who were originally mutations from Germany in the 1960's and pawned off on ignorant Americans who re-invented them as world class icons. If their hips were any lower they could pick up loose change on the street with their adrenal glands. And those of you who brag about your German breeding line GSD's need not be laughing either. You bought into the scam that german dog lovers would actually sell you their prime stock. Are you out of your hillbilly heads? The germans protect their GSD breeding lines  like the Saudi's protect their oil reserves. The only way you have a bonafide, quality german breeding line GSD is if your name is Helmut, you are a rich industrialist, and you drive a Mercedes SL550 AMG on the frickin' Autobahn. Here's a breeding suggestion: cross the sloped backed American GSD's with the roach backed German GSD's and you'll have a dog that sits and comes at the same time! Now that's a trick.

I've said this over and over but it always falls on deaf ears - or maybe it's deef eers. Check out Linda Shaw's website on the GSD. Shawlein.com. Your minds could use the expansion. There are at least 23 strains of GSD. And to state that there is only one standard, one model, one prototype is nothing short of arrogance. And check out her dogs while you're at it. At least they look like GSD's. I'd rather have a solid GSD that looks and feels healthy over one that is full of titles, service awards, and ribbons. Seems to me some folks on this site spend more time talking about and critiquing dogs than working/playing with their own.

KC, this sick individual posts on this site under numerous spoofed names which are linked to phony proxy email addresses.  He typically presents himself as a woman (but also otherwise) and comes here to use twilight language with loaded symbolism and symbolic cognitive triggers (similar to NLP triggers) to harass a very nice lady who frequents this web site, a lady he previously allegedly stole a puppy from and made death threats to.  It has been reported that he works for the govt in a k9 procurement/training function and has a public side business of training dogs.  He is showing himself to be a stalker but is being very careful right now to harass only up to a certain point.  I have been briefed on what he has done, who he is and many details, but only the victim can decide to proceed with exposing him publicly.  It might be a very good idea for him to back off now and stop coming to this site under any identity and have any of his "associates" stop doing so too.

My guess is that if he keeps this up he will be exposed by name and folks will be told what he has done in the past and his threats to harm this very nice lady and and also destroy her GSDs.  Any other victims may come forward to become known too all too.  This man allegedly has extorted the "no charge" taking of a puppy under abuse of the power of his badge and then has threatened to destroy the victim's dogs and harm them if she ever talks about it.  He allegedly has made the threat to the victim that he will "destroy her life" if she ever disclosed what he did.  He allegedly has a long history of forging papers on the puppies he takes and steals and has bragged about it, stating that he never pays for puppies.  Perhaps his alleged post extortion threats are just that only, but it needs to be determined if they have been more to others in the past.  His current posts here under multiple and different nam de plums are designed to intimidate this lady GSD breeder I referred to and to also upset forum users and provoke meaningless arguments which demean and harm the wonderful GSD breed that most of us come here to discuss and share ideas and information about.   What this fella doesn't seem to understand is that there is no statute of limitations on theft by fraud in most states.  He has been on the radio a number of times regionally and is therefore a "public figure".  As one of our esteemed posters once stated, "don't feed the trolls".  Perhaps this fella is feeling guilty deep down inside and is very unhappy with his life and really wants to be exposed at some deep level .  Power trip type abusers are like that sometimes and they push until they know they will be exposed and stopped.
