I am new to this so I just read the rules. From what I read this violates those rules. In addition, verification of evidence of this kind would have to come from someone not involved but present at the time. For example, if someone steals from you you call the police. They would be able to verify the information. If you have a problem with a dog, you would call animal control or a vet in the area to report the problem. This was not done. Do you understand what slander and liable are?

TROLL ALERT!!!

Question, meaning Troll.....don't worry, the people who were directly involved ARE in the process of doing something definitive about these multiple incidents. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you do not know what occurred and that you are NOT a buddy of Ray Jeffers. But, if you are, then I bet you will be hearing more about it, sooner than later. The facts were laid out by the people directly involved, including a copy of the judgement scanned and posted here, and, by the way, verified as good by a phone call. Perhaps you better look up what libel and slander are. When proof exists, neither applies, and, frankly, though many frivolous charges are brought on this site and others, this one is not frivolous.
Keep watching....you will hear more when the time comes and it won't be pretty if you are his buddy.

Question,
Do you understand what slander and liable are?
First of all, the 2 main charges of deflamation is libel and slander. Slander is mainly voice as libel is written documents. One or the other, or both have to be proven to cause injury to someone. The next thing is to go to court. The hardest part is collecting the money. You have to pay to collect. Getting tired from people always wrong when talking about lawsuits.
My question: How is everyones' summer training going? My showlines can't wait to see cooler weather....lol.

Question,
Those things were done! But because you are new here, you may have missed all of the posted evidence against Ray Jeffers.
by hodie on 16 August 2008 - 14:08
I think it HIGHLY unlikely this OP did not come here for one reason and one reason only. This thread was buried a bit because we have been busy. He just joined yesterday and this was what he found and posted on. Nothing else.
Thanks to this sorry post the post is back at the top. Thanks Question (troll) for that assistance. As I said, I believe continuing actions are in the works by those directly affected. Eventually, justice will catch up with Ray Jeffers......one way or another. And shame on his buddies who have failed to roundly condemn his behavior. It takes a long time for a dog to become as emaciated as these dogs were. It takes someone who has no concern for the welfare of dogs entrusted to them to leave a dog almost dead in a vets office and another missing.....It takes a lack of character to not honor commitments and contracts and take money from people for work not done. And it takes a bum not to pay up on a court ordered judgement. I hope luvmydogs is busy on that score too. The sum due should now have a lot of additional fees. Maybe he will have to use his student loans to pay the judgement instead of buy dogs and drive around in a new truck.

I know that I haven't posted but once but don't assume that because I asked some questions that I am idiot. I did read past info. I saw the judgement for the lost dog. I did not see a charge or judgement for the dog in the pictures. If you accuse someone of starving a dog who trains dogs, this affects his job. This according to the definition given by John Kennedy would be libel. Yes I do understand that it has to go to court and be verified.
What proof do you have that the dog in the pics was in that shape when it was in this man's care. I do not mean that you say it or show a pic. I am talking about a report from animal control in NC or a vet in NC of the dog's condition and the cause. I don't know you so you posting this is not enough.
Many of you speak badly of others and assume a lot. Why should I assume what is said is true when instead of just answering my questions some of you feel the need to attack me for asking.

I am the OP for this thread. I did not post anything libelous, just a little observation and advice, as usual. I'm pretty careful not to libel anyone in a public forum.
You're right, John. We need some nice cool weather. I was tracking sunday and it got pretty muggy by the time I was done with T's long track. Didn't bother him any, but I was ready for a cold one by the time we got done. I hope this weekend is bee-u-tee-ful. We have a lot to get done before winter this year. :-D

Shelley,
Don't worry about Question, we all know you did nothing libelous. People are sometimes, just retarded....lol.
Shelley you need to win the lottery and get me a new car...lol. Wow, I just turn 30 and my dogs made me feel like I am 50 years old. No offense to the old timers, I mean the experience people, but wow I am sore this morning.
Happy training people.

I need to win the lottery for a LOT of reasons! LOL When I do, we'll both have new rigs! I'm thinking several vehicles, including another gas-guzzling RV and a custom-made Jones 6-8 dog trailer for myself for a start, maybe something sporty for running around town? (at least till I lose my license when the local constabulary gives chase and lays out the tack strips that is...;-)
You think YOU feel old? I'm out to lay some tracks, including a full length FH track for Carol ("T")... BEFORE I do obedience with 5 young and, uh, "lively" reprobates. (read: Gangsters) Pass the Motrin. I'll let you know how old I feel tomorrow when I can't drag my old bones out of the rack. Just cutting up bait wears me out these days. Ha ha ha. The good news? T doesn't need bait on the track, just distracts him from the business at hand. Very economical dog. ;-D The bad news? He's driving me nuts wanting to go out and work.
It never ends. :-D
