I just checked out the Rin Tin Tin page again, and those dogs are VERY upright in their angles, and do have these pale washed-out sable colours. So, a Rin Tin Tin lineage for the sire is possible. However, the way the fur is parted on the sire's neck by the collar makes it look too short and dense to be a full-blooded GSD. Looks much more like a husky's coat. That, and the blacked-out name in the pedigree make me very, very suspicious of what's going on here!

Pashabasher, how many Utonogans have you seen in the States? I think a far simpler explanation is more likely. And if you read the posts above, yes, the breeder HAS been contacted, and insists everything is on the up-and-up with these dogs!

I don't live in the states i live in the uk and they are growing in popularity over here, and its only a sensible explination

Ah, that explains it. Well, Utonogans are almost unknown in North America, and that's where this litter is located.
