Rezkat5,

I think you are right. I had it backwards in my mind. I think it is 24 months for the male and 20 months for the female. Does anyone know for sure?

"thier" are now 4 ads up for these puppies - GRRRRR is right!

But this isn't the first, nor the last of these types of ads from people who spend more time 'advertising' byb puppies than they put into finding out how to properly breed.  It's funny how they can find sites like this to post what's for sale, but have never made a post (or obviously read any!) about what dogs are breed worthy.

But, again, people who breed with no standards will sell to people with no standards....and the cycle continues....

If this isn't a spoof, then it's pretty darn depressing.  Sad thing is there are so many folks like this that don't really understand the GSD breed, don't know the standard at all, at all.  And do not have a clue what should be done to maintain and improve the breed, such as minimum health and breeding standards (hip and elbow certification, full blood chemistries, etc.).  The only cure for this stuff is an educated buyer that won't buy from these types of "breeeders".  Of course nowdays with all the new legal standards for breeding  and lemon laws, those doing careless breeding like this often find themselves in a plethora of legal difficulties, and this helps discourage them from doing more "back yard breeding" and pretending that they know anything about GSDs or that they are experts in the breed.  The Sunday paper classified ads in most large cities in the USA have a number of ads  year around for what I call "junk dna" GSDs.  Some are sold for unbelievably high prices if they have "import blood", and some are sold for as low as $50.  Most are a nightmare genetically and a lifetime of expensive veterinary difficulties.

Tighe is exactly right, this person doesn't care, but sure wants you to convince you folks otherwise because  he figures there might just be more money in it for him if he can convince you he gives a shit.

Sorry to be so harsh on the typos.  I for one also type too fast sometimes or don't proofread before hitting submit.  Although, I personally think it looks unprofessional and somewhat careless when breeders advertise and don't take the time to check it over.  Of course, by no means is it an indicator of a lesser quality of breeding animals or offspring.

Sue's comment, "someone out there is trolling in an attempt to rile everyone up.  I think it's a joke," had me thinking of what would have gone through that person's mind, if indeed it were a joke.  Let's see... typos, unethical breeding practices, etc.  Although I do not believe it to be a joke, as it has a website, not to mention that we see way too many people posting these ads on a daily basis for it to just be a joke.  The important thing is to learn and not make the same mistakes again.  Two dogs may be wonderful and even breed-worthy, but that doesn't mean they should be bred together, but unfortunately it seems too many breed out of convenience.

Please find great homes for those puppies, and as others mentioned, sale them with Limited Registration.

There's definately something in the water tonight on here.  I don't think I can handle more than 1 nutt job a week let alone 2 in a day.  I better go to bed I'm feeling "bitchy".
