hodie, "And for those of you who think 13 litters a year is a lot, look around you right here is the good ol' USA and Canada."

You are too right unfortunately.  I know personally of at least one breeder of German show lines in Canada who is tops and who breeds more than 100 puppies per year, as evidenced by the tattoo numbers in their ears.  For example, CKC tattoo number ending in 112 followed by a letter means that is the 112th puppy born to that kennel and registered in that year which is represented by the last letter, re CKC tattoo identification rules:

i) The CKC registered tattoo series of the owner of the dog at birth;

(ii) A dog serial number assigned to the particular dog (a unique number of one (1), two (2) or three (3) digits ranging from 1 to 999); and

(iii) A letter of the alphabet representing the respective year in which the dog was born.

Given a reasonably high average of 6 puppies per litter, 100 puppies equals more than 16 litters!  Even if the dogs are well fed and clean, how can anyone justify breeding so many dogs except for MONEY.  But of course, if that's your major source of income, the sky's the limit.

I am sorry but someone with that type of kennel should have the money to take their dog to the vet.By the way do you have any real pics of your kennel or are you just going to show us this virtual tour of your so-called kennel??

Also have you tried BLEACH?????

Hodie et al: Yes, there are over-breeders in the USA and Canada who breed 100+ dogs a year. And..YES, unfortunately, some of them are considered/touted/praised as "premier breeders" or, worse, "Number 1 Breeder." Their sheer volume assures them of ribbons and trophies each year, as well as $300,000+ in annual puppy revenues. One of those premier breeders has LITERALY dozens of breeding bitches. For every breed, perhaps particularly the gsd, money really is the root of all evil. MONGOLIA???? The place we think of as so nearly off the planet?? Sheesh, who would buy dogs FROM Mongoloa? Can there be that much of a market IN Mongolia?

I don't even know where Mongolia is.

Money, money changes everything..........

Hey everyone.....

  Lighten-up on the guy.  The German Shepherd Dog has long roots in Mongolia.  In fact it was the prefered breed of Genghis Khan.

care to "donate" one of your champion lines puppies to me? What people have a problem with here is, and correct me if im wrong,  the sheer volume of breedings you claim to be undertaking, and also your seeming lack of knowledge when it comes to said pups health? Why anyone would want, or need to breed on that scale is a mystery. Is there a shortage of GSD where you live?   And if you choose to farm your breeding bitches out to 13 various homes, then how do you keep track of all those pups and their welfare? Why not take some recent pics of your brood bitches and stud dogs and post them here? It may well shut the sceptics amongst us up once and for all?

zacsmum- LMAO!  How true and politically correct you are!  My coffee is getting cold waiting for those pictures.

He probably has some V rated dogs that couldn't cut it in Germany or some retired dogs that have produced their limit or inferior pups. Or bitches that only produced small litters or puppies that died young from something like brucellosis which is most likely what he has going on in his "kennel" right now.

Don't kid  yourselves, some breeders sell GSD's to anyone with the money so don't be too shokced if he demonstrates to you that his dogs do have great pedigrees and were bred by some of the big names. It's all about money, people.
