Don and Jamille---Sometimes I think a TV programmer reads these threads......cause.....guess what's coming on SHO2 (Showtime 2)  right now.....4 o'clock EST (NY cable......check your listings)?   'Eyes of an Angel' (the doberman movie with John Travolta).....not to be confused with 'Angel Eyes' (the Jennifer Lopez, female cop helps amnesiac victim, Jim Caviezel movie).

Calvin---Another gruesome movie that I could mention........can't believe I watched it.....was something titled 'Intensity'. The serial killer has a pack of GSDs that guard his home.  Bunch of black sables, if I remember correctly. They have a big part and are onscreen a fair amount of time  The dogs displayed keen athleticism and strength.  All the sable lovers should take note and catch the movie.........that is..... if they don't mind watching horror films. 'The Hills Have Eyes' was barbaric...(LOL).

OK---The initial dog fight between the dobe and pit is over.....pit, of course, wins. Charming spectators oblivious or laughing at the brutal attack.  Near death dobe is disposed of by asshole dog fighter flunkie....with a toss off bridge into icy river.  I'd be sick, if i didn't know this movie revives the dog and gives us a happy ending. (Wonder what that bigtime football player is doing right about now.  There was no happy ending for his dogs.)

RoZoAn: That is really cool that you & your dog were featured in the movie. I was reading this thread because I just saw the trailer for the new Wil Smith movie, but just had to say something after reading your post. I think it's really neat too that she was shown tracking. I hope you were able to get a copy of the movie, what wonderful memories it must stir.

I went and watched this movie and thought it was excellent. The bond between Will Smith and his GSD in the movie was touching....does it die? I won't say. If you are GSD crazy, you will like this movie. Even if you aren't, it's still an excellent movie well worth seeing.

Saw it. It was good until "it" happened. If you are easily upset, you should go for more pop corn before "it" happens....

if you want a really funny movie.... even more funny if you have been involved in AKC conformation, "Best in Show" No GSD's but a hilarious spoof of the conformation show world. If you have ever watched old Westminster tapes where Joe Garagiola and David Frey were together... the commentators on the dog show were completely taken off of those two... I could watch that movie back to back and and cry laughing. I think probably part of what makes it so funny is that those grains of truth are pretty darn big grains.

Of course I HAD to go see this movie when I saw that the dog was a GSD! She's gorgeous, Sam "Samantha" in the movie is such a love, very devoted and he has a good handle on her most of the time, except those darn dogs just have to go running after things that they shouldn't and that is where she ends up getting in trouble the first time. Yes she does end up dying and I was sitting there in the theater crying like crazy and my kids think I'm nuts LOL...can't stand seeing a GSD die, even in a movie :) sniff sniff!!!! It is a good movie though, although I really didn't like the dog dying or in the end Will ends up dying too....they really should have ended it better. Peggy

I saw it the other day and thought that it was great. All the guy wanted was his lady friend back
