Got home from work and wanted to reply to Get a real dog remarks.

I would like to offer you an invitation to come and train with us here in TN. one weekend I think you would change your opion, sounds like you prefer the hard/tough type dogs as we do. As eisenfaust said in an earlier remark the helper should put hard threats using eye contact, body posture, loud vocal shouts with a hard direct charge on the dog. And yes there will be stick hits when the dog is being driven. There will be gun shots, muzzle engagements and true jumpout attacks.

Don't know what part of the country your from but we are planning on holding a trial in April and would love for you to come and check us out. I'm not going to put down other dog sports I like them all, what I will say though is come try SDA and earn a P1 title and you can honestly say that you have a dog that will perform real protection work.

Hope you will try and find a SDA club if TN. is to far to travel.

I would love to but am out in CA. That would be a bit of a trip.

The higher levels, on paper, look good. All I have seen are vid clips of the lower level stuff. I don't think anyone would be too impressed with that.

If I could see some video of the higher levels with good dogs and good decoy work, it could change my mind. I would love to see them if you have any. Depending on the direction my club takes, I could be interested in bringing it out to Cali.

Good luck with your club and the sport.
