isn't it better to pay for kennels that don't rust or break, ones that last a very very long time with no maintenance, ones that don't need to be repaired when dogs eat holes in them or pull the wire off the frame?  Mason Kennels - I even have panels I got second-hand made by Mason that have been outside in the weather for 10 years that are not rusted and have never needed repair.

What do they use in the zoos for tigers, etc?  I'm thinking I may have to go that route!  Ugh....lol

Molly, yes, but when I got mine no one had any reviews on the options plus.  Now when I have a few thousand to throw to the wind, I'll try those. BUT I'll probably email the company to find out how it does with humidity.

Definately a nice rustoleum coating will work fine. The offer several different shades now-a-days

We have both Options plus for in the house (basement). We ordered the "Bronze" series, and added roof panels to make sure the dogs were in them when we came home  ;)

We also have Mason kennel runs for outside..they are super, they hold up over the years, even with my other halfs pigheaded Rottweiler working on them!

Hey Sunshine,  How have your AKC panels  held up this winter?  Are they hot dipped galvanized?  I think galvanized is the only way to go in the Northeast.  How about the Behlan galvanized panels over the powder coat?  A friend told me the Priefert did not hold up well over time.  The urine would erode the powder coat then the metal would rust.  2 years max and shopping for new kennels.
