Hey Domenic,
I've got a 2 yr w/EPI. She has to have high protein with lower fat and no grains. I've been feeding a mix of natural balance duck and potato and EVO reduced fat. She's doing very well on it. My ten pound little dog was on EVO but gained too much too quickly.
Good luck,
Dawg

Larrydee,
I went to the site and took a look at Canine Complete, not sure if the protein levels are high enough at 17% but it was a quick glace as by the time I got home last night it was late and I was tired after a long day under the sun...I will do more "research" into it but couldn't help notice that this might be the most expensive dog food I've ever seen...Money is not an object but as with everything lets keep it "real"...Unless I buy on-line it will be hard for me to get my hands on this proiduct but think I will try and give it a try if and when I can get it...Like I said for me its all about my dogs and their needs...
Let me find some time to read what the site says and go from there until then its Chicken Soup for the Dog...I don't feel that bad about feeding it, its better than most and not near as bad as some...
Thanks for the info and enjoy the day...

The thing I like about Canine Complete is that it is all that they say it is and more and they call it a miracle supplement. The other thing is that it's the only supplement that you will ever need it even has a probotic in it and it's taken from whole natural organic foods. They manufacture the product procure the ingrediants and have excellant quality control and are monitored by a third party. With all that said it's not really that expensive.
But the real proof is what it will do for your dogs. They will look and act like different dogs in 2 weeks. There is no commerical dog food on the market especially kibble that give your dogs all the nutrients that they require. In my opinion Canine Complete is the perfect complement to any dogs diet.

I feed Timberwolf "Wild & Natural" , "Lamb barley & apple" and sometimes the Bison formula... I also feed Evo every so often....
Puppies eat Timberwolf, Lamb barley & apple and or the Bison formula...

Thanks for the link. This just confirms my research that Orijen is one of the best if not the best kibble out there. If I ever was to feed my dog kibble Orijen is the one I would go with. Orijen is a family owned business in Morinville Alberta Canada that manufactures their own products and procures fresh local ingrediants and cooks them at low temperatures and in small batches and does their own quality control. Another good thing is their products are grain free You can find them at www.championpetfoods.com So for all you die hard kibble fans their is an alternative to all these so called premium pet foods one that actually does things the right way and produces a product that they can stand behind and you don't have to deciper all this marketing magic mumbo jumbo.
Unlike many of their American counterparts which are just marketing firms not manufactures. Orijen puts out a first rate quality product that you can feel safe about feeeding your dog's.

We have just recently switched our three to Orijen Adult and we are totally impressed.
We had fed RC24 for several years and were quite sastified with it. When the recalls began to happen I started to really get interested in dog food ingredients and the manufacturing process and we decided to switch to either Orijen or EVO. Back in March Orijen was not readily available in our area, so we chose EVO. Two of the three dogs did well on the EVO poultry; the third got diarrhea even though we made the change over a 2 week period. We put him back on RC24 and tried the ECVO RM with the other two. The 13 year old did fine (but he eats anything) but the 3 year old broke out in one of the worst cases of inflamed skin I've ever seen. Itchy, hot spots, weepy patches in his armpits, hair loss, skin discolouratiuon . . . it was a nightmare!
Right about at the height of this mess a store about an hour's drive from here began to carry Orijen and we once again subjected the pack to changing food. Itchy Boy also got dosed with Benadryl. His recovery is nothing short of miraculous! Of course, I can't say it's the change of food because the antihistamine makes a big difference. However, his coat is getting a good sheen again and he's stopped dropping top hairs. The diarrhea in the other dog, our 12 year old, is gone and he's producing very nice, well-formed stools, as are all of them. <giggle> Have you ever noticed how, when a bunch of dog people start talking to each other, eventually the conversations turn to sh*t? :)
At any rate, we are very happy with the Orijen. We've just started our 3rd bag and are very satisfied with the dogs' condition, energy level, and output. And on a side note, it must taste fantastic because they throw themselves into the dishes with utter abandon.
Orijen is adding US distributers on nearly a weekly basis. Check their Website now and then for local availability, under Store Locator. It's pricey, that's true, but our kids are out of the house -- what else are we going to spend our money on, if not the dogs?

Thanks for the feedback. You know you can do all this research and you say they are doing everything right this has to be good but when you get first hand experiences like yours it just reinforces everything. Just goes to show you when you feed a quality dog food like Orijen good things happen to your dog's Dogs do know what is good for them.
I am convinced a good percentage of the problems our dogs have are food related. More people on this forum need to be like you and do some research on what they are feeding their dogs. Their dogs will lead happier healthier lives for that little bit of effort you put in like Aqua did and it will pay imeadiate noticeable dividends.

They are two differnt things totally different. Canine Complete is a supplement to add to your dog food so you know your dog is getting all the proper nutrients that he needs.
Orijen is a kibble that is made the right way one that should have all the proper nutrients built into it. If I was you I'd give the Orijen a try see how it goes if you still fell after a couple of weeks that your dogs are lacking something then add the Canine Complete.
But to be honest with you I have just ordered a bag of Orijen large puppy formula so when I go on long day trips it will be much easier to feed my pup than Urban Wolf and raw meat.
Keep us informed on how it's going Glad to see your open to change In my opinion you will see a noticable difference between the Orijen and Chicken Soup in that 2 week period. As picky as I am about what I feed my dog I'm giving it a try also.
