Right now that's settled. Unless anyone has any new information to add to this thread could we please stop the back and forth and try and stay on topic. Thank you. mrdarcy.

Got it Betty
My comments are attempts to moderate the thread but your comments are just comments?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I have to take a breather from the discussion on that note

Ok, now it's getting comical. And pointless. And quite suspicious as to why it is sooo important for certain people to harp on this being an accident.
And I know those were almost all sentence fragments, as I successfully completed foUrth grade.

Sorry, Mr. Darcy. I didn't see your post when I typed mine. I'm done;-)

I think it would be a good idea if everyone took a breather from this thread.

Mr. Darcy,
Thank you for reeling us in and encouraging us to remain on task. Questions haven't been addressed, including, but not limited to:
People are questioning the donations, where are they going, what is the PI trying to determine, when will the completed autopsy be available, what is the concern with the collar, etc. ???? For example, the person that is the Administrator on "Bring Hex Home" states, "The preliminary necropsy results pointed toward foul play..." Who is this person and what report do they have access to?? The police report, which includes the results from the University of IL, states nothing of the sort. These professionals surely wouldn't close a case they considered to point at 'foul play'. I just don't get it, there's a piece of this puzzle missing.
If you request that I delete this post, I understand and will do so. Should the questions be allowed to stand, I'll check back for credible responses.
Respectfully yours.

I just want to clarify that OnxyGSD and my username Onyxgirl should not be confused.
I don't want any of my future posts judged by what has transpired on this thread. ;)
Thank you, Jane

In many states it is a crime, sometimes a felony, to hit an animal and leave the scene. So poor driver my butt. If that is what happened and if that is the same dog. Even the driver does not seem certain. And though it appears LE have access to his telephone number not sure if they have an identity.
When directly asked by someone in law enforcement for names of people who might have a grudge, it is not improper to disclose the identity of people who are suing. The emailer had a wide variety of wild speculation as to the reasons Mr. G was at the field, none of which appear to be valid.
Whether Hex was stolen or hit by a person who did not care enough to even see what they hit and if the animal needed help or obey the law and identify himself, leaving Hex to lay undiscovered, does not erase the heartache felt by Al Govednik or his wife. They have every right to want the truth, to want answers and if the truth could have been discovered by someone who killed an animal and could not bother having enough compassion to stop, that is not the Govednik's fault.
If you did not donate, it is none of your affair how the money is being spent and I bet those complaining the most loudly here did not donate. The rest of us gave gladly and would do more. Al never pointed the finger at any particular person to me either, he just wanted to know what happened to his beloved Hex. Now is not the time to point fingers of blame at what owners should and should not do. We just had a police k9 hit and killed near here near I-35 and the cop wants to know if someone let him out of his kennel. It is only natural to want answers, especially if a week of gut wrenching heartbreak has gone by thanks to someone who hit a living thing and could not bother to render aid or report it.
If someone's child is missing, they want ANSWERS, they want the body, and that is not the time to demand to know why they let their child walk home from school alone. Have some compassion, people. Dober...I hope if you lose someone you love, no one thinks it appropriate to make jokes, the way you have done here.
