A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis:
The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.
The Butler was cleaning the closet.
The police instantly arrested the murderer.
Who did it and how did they know?

I should say this, no one should feel depressed for not being able to solve last puzzle, in college days we were round 1000 students and given 30 minutes only 2 could solve it. I am still keeping my old notebook of such puzzles

No! I used logic... lol, I knew that whatever eights I used had to end in zero, so I knew 8 x 5 = 40, so all needed to end in 8. Then since the 4 carried over into the tens, the next one had to end in a 6, so it had to be 8 x 2 =16, and then the rest was too easy! LOL
