wow this is long. lol

ok as a breeder and a trainer.  I have also met and really like Malinda. she has a very nice facility and from what I can see really loves her dogs.

I have had to situations which have made me always ask for the dog back...for those of you who say she should just take the owners word for it.  My very first litter I sold one male that was coated as a pet for 500.00.  The owner at about 6 months of age said the dog had HD.I being new to this just refunded her money.  A couple of months down the road, I get a call from someone...hey I have one of your dogs, we bought her to breed, can we come out and see her parents?  After I figure out who this dog is, and these people that I know I didn't sell a dog to, I tell them that the dog has HD and they can't breed her.  We get together and have her re-x-rayed at my vet and guess what. OFA GOOD hips.  So this person bought a dog for 500.00 got the 500.00 back and then sold the dog for 1500.00.  Boy did I feel dumb.

Next situation I feel I am a little smarter.  So I tell them that I will only refund the money if they send the papers back and I will re-register him with a limited registration.  So they sent the papers back and I did this.  Then I find out that they didn't get him fixed and were breeding him and just selling pups for 200.00.

SO NOW I ALWAYS WANT THE DOG BACK!!!  There are situations where I don't take the dog back but I had better get all kinds of paperwork on health problems, and better be able to call the vet and get all the info on the dog.

Malinda.....

you are a good person.  This buyer is just an ass.  So sorry that you are having to deal with that one out of a hundred personality types that make you want to close up shop and move out to an area without people.

I  think this lady in Calf. must be living in another reality, Malinda is very much devoted to her dogs they are her children and she would not send a dog out that has these kind of problems or any problems for that matter.  I am a K9 Deputy on the Texas Border and have trained with Malinda with two dogs now one GSD who did not work out for me the dog was great we just did not click togather. To show you how far Malinda will go to make things right she sent her husband to the Dallas area to pick up a dog that she thought would work for me "Hunter".  Hunter is a great dog and we are working well togather.  So to report her to BBB is just plain stupid she will go out of her way to make things right.  A friend of mine also bought one of the Z litter "Zena" and she has no medical problems as a matter of fact I just saw her yesterday.  I also saw the Z litter before any were sold and my son Cody and I saw the remaining Z pups when we were there early this year and they all were looking great.  i would have to consider that this lady may have injured the puppy and is now wanting to blame someone else.  I have recomended Malinda to other Law Enforcement Agencies in my area and will continue to do so.  I plan to get another dog from her in the future when I can get the funding.                          I personally think that this lady is telling nothing but a load of croc and should have returned the puppy a long time ago.

No breeder is going to send someone money back without proof that the pup she or he sold a buyer, is the pup , with the problem. And when K91010 said this was a high level LEO, he only made it worse.....if they both are in law enforcement,,,I sure dont want them on my force...If they cant make a proper discision of proper handling a baby pup and it takes 9 months to do something about it., something is definately wrong...MJ holds a very distinct and reputable honor among gsd trainers and law enforcement being in the service of her country also , and it doesnt make sense at all that another law enforcement family, as noted by one  poster, would deny ,after spreading all over California on a field of training and evidentually amoung other LEO's, this breeder access to information, both by email or by medical reports or by certified mail....Maybe there is something in the water in California that makes people act like this.....Its got me puzzled...and my vet also....I wonder if the vet knows his statements are being talked about on a national forum    ....of course , we dont know his name  but K91010 just gave us PI minds a few clues.......

You can bet there will be no known breeder , that gets wind of these people, will sell them a german shepherd and all of germany , slovia and Finland, Sweden and Belgium and UK are all reading this........they dont refund money anyway....so  let them get a dog over the ocean.....They have flea markets in Cal and they sell live fleas with dog there....

Yeah, you can get the fleas with the dog in California, but they have to be neutered....

Het, excellent points. That's exactly why this owner owes Malinda proof that the pup is indeed sick/dysplastic/dying.

my commnets on other post..

"I have known Malinda for years and have never known her not to be fair and stand behind her dogs.  Likely more to the story as the orginal post would have been totally out of character for her to handle and dealings that way.."

Malinda...you made the whole story very clear to all and that is all you can do.  some of the people on this board are total idiots and believe everything (especially bad) that they hear and are quick to attack before knowing the facts.

Also, Malinda trains all breeds of dogs plus rescues many dogs of all breeds and in most cases never recovers the expenses incurred but does it out of her love for animals. so what if she has/shows other breeds, thats her business but again some of you are so perfect and quick to judge.

i would add that if this was my pup i would put it down and out of its misery and the pain it will be enduring if it lives. if you disagree then thats ok but everyone has to make their own decisions. I say this with the stipulation everything said about this pup is true. I also challenge any breeder who says they have never had problem pups, fact is I see breeders selling total inferior gsd's on this website and listing them as top or show quality. This pup was sold as pet quality.

some of you need to stop and think before you just attack me back, especially if you are guilty of the above....

Maybe it's just my controlling nature.    But, if I were the breeder of this dog I too would like to see this pup with my own eyes.  Not in pictures, not in video.

And yes, maybe this pup should be put to sleep.  But, how can one determine that without seeing the dog in person and the information from the buyer is a bit sketchy.  And the vet is apparently now refusing to give any information.

And yes, wow, this thread has gotten long.  Work and train for the past 3 days and see what happens!

I have seen Malinda have to have a dog she loved very much and protected her put down. She did this out of love and no other reason. The dog was getting older and started having some problems. For any person to say that Malinda is only doing this for money and a "racket" you are full of crap. You can not be one of the people that knows Malinda at all. If any of you who are attacking Malinda needs to not only learn the facts but you need an understanding of who the person is you are attacking. She is one of the few people in the "dog business" that has morals and values.

There are a lot of breeders/trainers and the like that are breeding dogs for money. I say if you do not believe this then look at the pet stores that import their pups from all over the country. Malinda has turned down a lot of money for her dogs at times because she did not like the environment that the dogs would be in.

As a person I can tell you Malinda is one of the nicest and hardest working people I know. She puts in countless hours in not only training LEO K9 Handlers she also puts in countless hours teaching young kids about handling show dogs. Not only does she teach show handling she also teaches life lessons as she does this. Malinda is in my opinion everything that a lot of breeders should aspire to be. Most breeders require proof before agreeing to refund money, all she requires is notification that you are not happy. However, you must send the animal back. After all if you are not happy then why would you want the animal anyway. Either keep it and shut up or send the dog back and shut up.

for anyone interested, a photo from the owner today 30 June 07, has been posted to our website.  He looks to be of normal size, I can see no malformed mouth (can't see his tongue) he certainly doesn't appear to have dwarf characteristics and he looks like his not fine.

These photos are unaccompanied by any medical records of ER visits, dying condition, or any of the other maladies she has indicated the dog has.

Her vet was going to visit with me, but then emailed me and called and said she has been threatened with legal action and is not allowed to talk to me.

ONE MORE TIME, SANDRA... I WILL COME GET THIS DOG AND GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK.
