Sunsilver

The fact the OP has blocked the breeder's access to the vet, combined with how normal the dog looks in the photos really has me wondering. Von Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, maybe? http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic830.htm

I challenge the OP to provide irrefutable proof of this dog's illness. Since this is between her and the breeder, this can be done privately. But it's high time for her to put up or shut up!

This whole thing is starting to stink like a week old kettle of fish!

Would that be a kettle full of dwarf fish, or normal fish?

I can tell you this much I know Caliber and Henry. Both dogs are fully functional police dogs. I was at Malinda's the day that Caliber and her sister came in from overseas. Malinda has always been willing to take a dog back. She will go to the ends of the earth to not only see her dogs but will also see that the buyers are happy as well.

It does not matter if the lady shows proof or not, if she is not happy then Malinda will gladly give the lady her money back. Being attached emotionally is not the breeders problem or fault. Malinda has always and I know her she will continue to do what is right. Malinda is not the type of person to harm someone. I know for a fact that she has lost more money and put up with more BS than I would, knowing she was right.

Malinda just keep your head up and don't worry about this. There are a lot more people that know you and knows this is not YOU. You are nothing like this.

Also, Malinda is the type of breeder and trainer that you can call on any time day or night. I know this for a fact, I have done it.

Vomramhausen ,Unfortunately this is being discussed on a PUBLIC form and this breeder, Malinda is wanting everybody to be on her side.. which means if she wants people to be on her side that she has to answer to all of our questions. So far shes not showing the reputable status in my eyes because shes refuses to disclose any information about Caliber's Hips and refuses to answer to my questions.

Will I ever buy from her? Not exactly.. and if you think for a sec that I'm getting turned on by the number of LEO friends she has.. it doesn't work that way. I want an honest and “true” reputable breeder who isn't afraid to show their dogs hips/elbows results, including giving me information about how many of their puppies has good and bad hips.. Hell even go as far as sending me copies :) I want HONESTY :) I don't care WHO you are and WHO your friends are.. I want and expect HONESTY :)

You also said “What Caliber's hip rating is makes no difference at this point.” I disagree with you entirely. I seen the hips x-rays from Zach and they were horrible, especially the right hip. It's suspicious to see that Malinda is hiding Caliber's hips x-rays results and how she didn't send in her hips with the elbows (whom was evaluated by OFA) to be examine by professional radiologists.

This thread is getting bombed out.. Everybody continues to bitch at the fact is that the buyer refuses to give up the dog to get her money back.. when will you guys realize that it isn't an option anymore? The buyer made her decision to keep the dog and I think she has every damn right to do it.

SchHBabe and Sunsilver I wasn't screaming... If I was.. I'd be using "ALL CAPS"  and would of  used a lot of these "!!!!!!!!!!! " Sorry if you thought I was screaming :)

Brittany, Malinda didn't bring this to a PUBLIC FORUM. She's only defended herself on this forum. You were the one that brought up BBB, ripoffreport.com, local news media, etc before Malinda even put out her side of the story on the forum. It seems you were one of the first to jump on the Bash the Breeder Bandwagon without knowing the whole story. My guess is that you have had a bad situation with another breeder. Yeah? ~~~~~ [from Brittany post above] "If for any reason I sell somebody a puppy who the puppy developed HD/ED or developed genetic deformations.. Obviously I want proof. I would expect to have at least 2 different vets professional opinions (I expect the vets to know about the breed) and would want their signature on the bottom. If it's HD/ED.. I would require them to send the Xrays to OFA and actually have it certified (or looked at if the dog is under 2 years of age) and feel confident that it was viewed by a certified radiologist specialist. Once I have evidence of proof that the pups condition is caused by genetics then I would refund the buyers money and allow them to keep the dog if they choose to." ~~~~ You are expecting Malinda to give a refund without the proof that you, yourself would require if it were you in her shoes. Hmmmmm. Why do you think that the buyer is refusing to let Malinda talk to the vet that has supposedly seen this puppy? The fishiest part of this whole thing is that there is no reason to keep the vet from talking to the breeder unless there is something to hide.

Why is this "thread" even being debated?.........it's actually, none of our business.

There are "contracts" placed by sellers for buyers.....buyers read and sign them..therefore agreeing to terms and conditions binding in contract..........no contract....no  real  legal leg to stand on.

Unless a seller or buyer is willing to spend a small fortune in court costs and attorney fees......which in the end....will only result in "ORIGINAL PUCHASE COST"... of dog to be refunded, and a heartache of pain in returning the animal to the breeder.........settle the matter like adults.

Just because a poster brings a topic like this to a forum.....doesn't give ANYONE the right to demand proof of any kind regarding this matter.

There are always going to be situations similar to this one....I know a breeder going through a "slander" dealing at the present.

I also have "sided" with a buyer who had a tragic puppy dealing himself.........it's a never ending saga......

"HUMANS" deal with this situation for the dog's sake......if for nothing else.

JMO,

"aren't ya a little pest are ya? Just what makes my post so ridiculous may I ask? What the hell do you think I've been doing all of this time? Looking for fights? No! I've been doing a LOT of research on my bitches background! I know how many times my bitches mother been bred and I know how many she produces! Don't sit here and say it's ridiculous because it's indeed a FACT!

Now go back to your dark hole where you came from lady."

I'm sorry, which of us has been trolling GSD boards and spewing the same old blather for years? Yes, I'll go back to my dark hole and take my TITLED dogs with me.  You probably don't remember me at all, but you're pretty hard to forget.

I said the comment was ridiculous because it was totally irrelevant and any breeder will tell you the unexpected happens regularly.  I know 2 female dobes that always had 2-3 pups per litter and their last litters were 8 and 9, respectively, mother nature likes to throw curveballs.

Back to topic, I honestly hope Malinda gets a chance to see this pup for herself, as a breeder, if I produced an anomoly like that it would break my heart and I would be desperate to figure out what happened. It's very unfortunate for everyone involved, especially the puppy, that he wasn't sent back the breeder when the buyer was dissatisfied at day 2.  I hope the puppy has a peaceful remainder to his life, however long or short it may be, I hope Mailnda is allowed the oppurtunity to see all the vet records, and I hope both parties can resolve this and move on, obviously much wiser and unfortunately a bit more jaded.

WOW!!!  This is one heck of a PUBLIC FORUM!  I really enjoy it when I get to see such a mob gathered for blood!  Especially when the mob has absolutely no business being involved in the above listed situation.  But, seeing that everyone else here added their two cents, I feel it's only right that I contribute to the pot.

Keep your nose out of other people's business.  Very few of you, if any, truely know the two parties involved in this dispute.  EVERYONE was quick enough to act as judge and jury though.  The only thing any of you can base anything on is what has been posted in this forum.  WOW!!!

I see that this topic has died down, and thank goodness it has.  BUT, If any of you fine people want to know my opinion and or FACTS about one the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, feel free to contact me cidcop204 at yahoo . com.

I apologize for the late post, but I feel better now that I've contributed a little.  At least I know one of the parties involved.
