Doggie, the overwhelming odds are that your dog just had a bad day. A headache, a stomach ache, some sort of pain somewhere that caused her to shiver. It doesn't mean that she's epileptic or has a fatal condition of some sort.

I had the vets office fax over the blood work while I am waiting for the vet to call. She has Low Calcium and Low Lipase. Everything else was the middle of normal.
I am going to assume it is the change in her diet, from 1/2 RC and 1/2 solid gold. she has been on 1/2 solid gold and 1/2 Eagle Pack, I am going to change her to all Eagle pack. They have stated on the package 95% calcium and Solid gold just lists it at the bottom with no amounts stated.
I was also very gald to see her bun and creatinine levels and ratios, were down in the low normal range. They have droped since the change in the food.
Oskar1, I am going to assume you understand the low calcium levels, could you please explain this to me and the risks. Do I have the luxury of changing her food over a weeks time, and leaving her on the new food and rerun the blood to see the changes in a month. Or would I be putting her at risk and if so what is the risk. if there is anyone else out there with any thought on this?
while I am at it, what is lipase, what issues will this cause if low? Should I be concerned/overly?

Vet called, told me to get her on supplements now, no fooling around with the food, and a wait and see. Goahead and change her to all eagle pack, but needs extra calcium now.
Lipase, no big deal.

Well, well, well .....
Under 20 bucks, hmmm....... you just wait till my bill arrives ;-) !! Glad your baby is doing fine again. Low calcium levels often show in bitches when about to get into heat, if not treated it can prevent that the bitch is able to recieve a mating. If they do take, the pups run the risk of beeing crippled, or die in uterus. I have a hard time to explaine this in detail, because of my limited english, please forgive me. This can be easily controled and treated, i would talk to my Vet and get liquid Calcium and if you detect a tremor just give the dog 1 ml oral, it will stop within minutes.
Thanks Blitzen, if i would be a girl, i would blush !!
You all have a great Weekend, Ulli Dresbach
